The more i see Floyd fight, the more i think he controls Pacquiao..

He's too strong and smart for Pac. He's a huge, strong welter. I'd envision things going very similar to the Floyd/Marquez fight with Pac landing some more straight lefts, but getting peppered with rights.

 

It could be like the welterweight version of Johnson-Jeffries.

Bitchweather is too used to fighting gatekeepers to get close to Pac, he got caught by slow gatekeeper Ortiz who throws the odd punch.

Pac swarms combos from angles Mayweather hasn't seen before, he struggled with Judah due to his speed, and Pac is 10 times better than Judah ever was.

Pac overwhelms Mayweather and I see Mayweather quitting or getting Dq'ed.

Floyd is fighting in a more aggressive way than he used to -- rather than constant movement around the ring, he's now actually pushing forward at points with a high guard. He also seemed to throw more punches against Ortiz than I'm used to seeing. While this gives more sting and commitment to his shots, it also makes him more vulnerable than before -- walking forward or standing your ground doesn't usually work against someone like Pac, who eats that approach for breakfast.

Some might argue that Pac can't fight going backwards, but I think he can. Hatton, Cotto and Margarito learned this the painful way. The best way to beat Pac would be to go on the back foot, circle the ring, and constantly counter him, picking him apart. Does Floyd still have the legs for that, though? I'm beginning to wonder. I don't think he looked that great against Ortiz, to be honest -- he was outclassing him of course, but he was also missing more than usual, and he did get tagged here and there. (I did enjoy his combination punching at the start of the fourth round, though -- that was nice to see.)

 

Didnt he land at a 49% clip? Thats basically exactly the same % he always lands at. You can say he missed more than usual but thats cus he threw more. You can say he landed more than usual as well, what matters is the %.

 

I think Floyd is good but the more I watch him fight the more I think Pac overwhelms him. I saw a lot of things there against Ortiz that Pac would've capitalized on.

Mayweather vs Pacquiao would be similar to B-hop vs Trinidad.

 

Mayweather is just to damn smart and controlled in the ring for someone like pac.

Pbf is too technical for Pac. He will figure Pac out lower his output and pick him apart. Pacs short arms and the way he lunges in don't do him any favors either. Pacs not gonna ko pbf and he's not going to outbox him either. It's no wonder why pbf is the betting favorite in this fight its because he's better.:deal
