I think this is a decent question:

While it seems that Wlad is the one taking out more of the proven fighters while Vitali is taking out the up and coming fighters. I think Wlad has teh most impressive resume in terms of wins, while Vitali has a better record overall.

Wlad quality wins; Byrd x2, Mercer, McCline, Peter x2, Brock, Brewster, Ibragimov, Rahman, Chagaev, Chambers, and Haye.

Vitali quality wins; Briggs, Sanders, Arreola, Peter, Gomez, and Donald.

It is clear that Wlad has beaten the better oppostion, no question. But when you factor in the losses, I think this is where it's tricky. Wlad has been blasted 3 times all by TKO by decent fighters (Brewster, Sanders, and Purrity). While Vitali has truly never been "beaten". Yeah I know someone will highlight what I just said and say "oh well Byrd and Lewis both did". But I mean bested by the better fighter that night.

As far as legacy, I feel that Vitali is and has always been the better fighter, cemented with the 4 year absence and coming back to win with ease. While Wlad simply received more accolades by fighting better fighters.

    Thoughts?

Wladimir is beating better fighters and had a big fight (Haye). Wlad is better, Vitali is tougher.

Wlad has also contributed a hell of a lot more to the '4 belt' dream the Klitschkos had. Mugs Vitali off a bit...

Always a good time watching these "boxing fans" push around these heavyweights like a bunch of turds on a sardine tray. Like the names Arreola, Peter, Brewster, ect, mean anything to the people who really live and die with this sport. Comedy. If all these ****ers stopped posting here and everywhere else I really can't say anything would be felt.

Can you people stop comparing Vitali to real fighters please?

He has been cherrypicking his entire "career". I don't mean to be negative but there are so many frauds in boxing and it drags the sport down, especially when so many idiots actually dish out money to see these so-called fights.

Vitali vs Shannon Briggs was a circus show. Anyone who paid money to watch it needs to have their head examined. Vitali keeps fighting these fat bums when Eddie Chambers and Ruslan Chagaev were sitting around looking for someone to fight.

Vitali is tougher and Vitali IS BETTER. Technically too.

It always makes me laugh when so called experts say Wlad is better technically. It's like saying Felix Sturm is technically better than Naseem Hamed or RJJ. Hamed was doing everything "wrong" except for winning.

Is having an awkward style the same as being bad technically? Fools.

Vitali is head to head top ten HW of all time.

Vitali is more memorable due to his loss against Lennox Lewis

 You missed a lot of names for Vitali's resume which is not unusual for these "Wlad has a much better resume than Vitali" threads.

Wlad's losses only make him more memorable. People love to see a guy who can pick himself back up and rise back to the top. In Wlad's case... he picked himself back up, and dominated for YEARS.
