I would love Ian Darke to do MMA.

I loved him from boxing, and now after "go go usa!" I worship him.

Ian Darke is a schill. He is knowledgeable no question about that but he's penchant for towing the company line and simply spewing clear bias for some fighters was a pain to listen to on SKY. If you want a decent commentator who also did the K1 circuit look no further than Steven Holdsworth. He's an army vet who fought competitively as a pro boxer who calls fights exactly as they are. He's a man that pulls no punches and never tow's the company line.

Lon McEachern is great, did Pride 33 and several Kickboxing events.

Is he the guy who commentates for Eurosport on boxing?

If so he is class. No bull**** with him. I can remember him ripping Chagaev to shreds in one of his earlier bouts. Love his commentary.

Sure is. Quite some years back Holdsworth used to lurk around ESB. He gave me a shout out on Eurosport once which i was quite chuffed about - i think it was one of Amir Khans amateur bouts he was commentating on.

Eurosport are very impartial as most of their material is taped delayed or obscure events that only hardcore fans tune in for. Holdsworth showed an excellent knowledge across the spectrum including Boxing, K1, Power Lifting and MMA somewhat.

**** it they need Holdsworth on UFC. Shake things up a bit. Unfortunately I doubt Zuffa would even get rid of Goldberg, bad as he is, nor put on someone who can think for themselves.

Holdsworth wouldnt last. He's not a "company" guy. He calls a spade a spade. Unless your willing to be a schill for the UFC that makes Holdsworth and the UFC polar opposites.
