for me, the most brutal KO I've seen was Joe Frazier being knocked out by George Foreman, the first. When Foreman was in beast mode. Sorry, by ESB, in their idiot state, won't allow me to post links yet.
Prime Tua was a beast! That's why the Klits wanted nothing to do with him and why they had the ews tie him up in legal battles for most of his prime career. Still, those KOs are nothing compared with Foreman's KO of Joe Frazier where Foreman's punches actually lift Frazier's feet a foot off the canvas. :yep After that fight, everyone thought that Ali stood no chance against Foreman, and that's why, Ali is the greatest. :good
missing Morrison vs Mercer, and the works of Julian Jackson(Drayton, Norris, Graham etc), id probably throw in Ibeabuchi vs Byrd and Maskaev vs Rahman, McClellan vs Danny Mitchell etc
Foreman didn't need snap. He had solid punching power. Look at the short shot he hit Moorer with that KO'ed him. It didn't look so hard, but it's like getting hit by a Amtrak train going 20 mph versus a car doing 60. :yep I saw training videos of Foreman I training before a fight with a cow on his back as he ran down the road.
There was a guy who actually sparred with both Foreman and Tua and stated that indeed Tua packed more power than Foreman punch for punch but Foreman was more constant with his attack, he said Foreman's punches had a cumulative "numbing" effect on him while Tua's punches would turn his headguard all the way around his head and leave him with migraine headaches afterwords. http://www.ajdugger.com/forum.html#nabble-td4657178 "I'd get these horrible headaches after sparring with him, and Dave told me once that whenever he knew I was on the dance card, he'd drink extra water for his brain. Nice guy. Hit like a wrecking ball. David Tua hit hard enough to knock my headgear clean around my face. Dude had a pretty limited style, but that left was quick as a cobra when he was sharp, and boy did it have bite. He's a fun guy, super hospitable and friendly, hit like a truck and put me through plenty of painful paces. I only hope our careers and lives don't end up with me required to face him with 12's and no mask. I can't afford the surgery." "But speaking from experience, a compact left hook from Tua at close range is a worse than a mid-range hook or haymaker from George. But George wins in the jab & uppercut department. David rarely used the uppercut on me when I worked with him. Guarantee Tua hit harder than George. Look at Tua's beastly, tree trunk legs and his very well thrown left hook. Probably is, it could be completely taken from him. There were fights where he finally found the target and got the knockout, and then there were fights where he didn't."
