IBO is crap, they are trying thier best to be credible, so when they reach high standards, all their fair and whatever rules and what not, would change and everything would go downhill..

The IBO is the LAST thing we need in Boxing.

We need less sanctioning bodies, not more.

What an idiot you are. You do not understand the people involved with the IBO and what they are trying to do to help erradicate the corruption and bring back the fairness. Big shame on you.

Andy there are hundreds of belts when you include the regional ones. Two is one too many when you realistically tak of world champions. Boxing needs a world premier in each division, fairness, good ratings, good judging and equal opportunities. I expect everything you think boxing needs the IBO tries to provide, but the hardest part is being the new kid on the block and getting accepted. Dont diss it so easily its probaby your friend.

WBA has the most legit history regardless of where it is today.

IBF, which is an american boxing organization, is more consistent. However, boxing champions avoid holding the IBF belt because it is the only belt with strict post-weighin gain.

At 147, the reigning cahmpion is Isaac Hlatshwayo. at 140, it is Urango, 130 is vacant, 130 is the ghost guerero, 126 is cristobal cruz. Cory spinks is one of the title holders.

Basically, although they are more consistent and tend to be less corrupt than the Mexico-based WBC, or the puerto- rico based WBO, IBF does not have the marquee champions that WBC have.

I'd say the IBF, WBOGUS lets anyone win thier belt, WBA is a disgrace, once you unify these clowns decide to have a regular champ and a super champ....WTF, Its reaally sad that the alphabet soup titles along with the super and Jr weight classes have screwed boxing up.

    What boxing needs......

    One world champion per division
Rankings issued based upon resume and holding regional (European etc) titles - wtf is a WBONABO title?

The IBO is the 3rd best body IMO, behind the IBF - who still have odd rankings, and the WBC. The WBA is a disgrace, and I don't recognise the WBO.

They still have credibility issues...... allowing Matthew Hatton to challenge for a world title is just pitiful, suppose all the $$$$$ Ricky has invested came to roost for his lil bro!

BTW - Andy, you do have a way with words mate :good

No offence bro, but trying to solve the problem by making another title org is like giving the guy who's mugging you another gun.

Hard to vote for any, all have their flaws though the WBO must be the weakest as far as I know. IBO and all other similar titles are NOT major titles.

I'd have said that up until a few weeks ago when Funeka got robbed in the Guzman fight. That was for the vacant IBF 135lbs title and was the worst decision of the year by a long shot.
