I was disappointed in the Holyfield Lewis fights, I guess they weren't that bad but I was expecting more of knockdown, drag out brawl....I guess it was Naïve of me to expect that, but I felt the first fight in particular was very anti climactic

It's been mentioned but Lewis vs. Tua is one of the first fights I can really remember getting geared up for. I was a budding boxing fan, saw a bad ass ad in a sports magazine with Tua in it, and counted the days. I think I even hyped it up to friends - even though I myself knew next to nothing about boxing at the time. I remember Tua for mostly pawing at his hair that night, which was covering his eyes.

Seriously biggest fight of your life, and you have to worry about damn hair in your eyes. Although I know he's not the only one to have that happen to them.

I never saw anything that ever came close to Tyson-Seldon.
    Liston-Patterson 1 and especially 2.
    Marciano-Walcott 2.

This could've been alright if the ref didn't constantly break them up whenever they got close, he completely took away any shot Parker had of making it competitive.

Pretty much agree with the ones that's been said other than Ali-Frazier II which was fine just not close to the other two. The Wlad Klitschko fights especially.

The Tyson v Spinks fight had a massive build up ,with many experts claiming this would be Tyson s hardest match. Spinks would be to cagey and experienced for him bla bla bla .
    Tyson ko 1 Spinks ..

Seldon was never a world class fighter but he took a dive.

Tyson was awesome in that fight though, that`s when the world stood up and took noticed, Mike never matched that form ever again.

Its true ,he was top notch in that fight. I was just hoping for a better performance from spinks ,but he didn't stand a cat in hells .

Tyson vs Spinks. Unbelievable hype. A lot of people, fans and boxing names and trainers were genuinely thinking that Spinks could win.

In (fairly) recent memory: Wlad Vs Ibragimov. Wlad Vs Haye. Wlad Vs Povetkin. Joshua Vs Martin. Wilder Vs Stiverne II. Joshua Vs Parker.

    Wlad vs Haye for sure.

Factor in the initial postponement and all Haye's big talk about leaving Wlad quivering on the canvas and the anticipation was huge. Then Haye delivered a half hearted "just survive" effort and gets easily beaten. For once Wlad can't be blamed for producing a stinker either. He at least looked to engage whereas Haye just went through the motions. I've never rated Haye that highly ever since.

Vitali Klitschko--Odlanier Solis. Solis seemed like a live underdog going in and for the first 2:50 looked one step ahead. Then he blew his knee out and phoned it in for the rest of his career.

Probably more poor fights in the heavyweights than in any other weight class with a similar history. It would take a long time to list them.
