    No way.

Young made Ali look slow and old. Only politics allowed Ali to get the decision.

    It was a bad effort

The consensus was he took the $ 24 million and ran.

I have to laugh when people give credit to Holyfield and use this as a legitimate comparison between Tyson and Holyfield

The Douglas that laid down for Holyfield was about 20 percent of the guy who beat Tyson, physically and mentally just not in shape.

I think Spinks tried, he just was outmatched.

It was an embarrasing result, but I wouldn't consider it one of the worst efforts in a title fight.

Yep, he made no effort to get up. Don't tell me you can rise from a Tyson uppercut in a rough fight but not get up from a punch from Holyfield. Seldon was much more convincing imo.

Tyson vs Lewis. Tyson had no business being in the ring given how badly he was finished.

Not sure how powerful that Tyson uppercut was, it came in the 8th round and it was the final real source of Energy he had after taking a helacious beating and was out of gas. If it had much more power in it, Douglas would have laid bare.

Holyfield was much fresher when he landed his power shot so early in the fight.

Bruno had a **** chin and people with **** chins cannot survive his combos. Even Lenni wouldn't be able to deal with those combos.

    Are you kidding me?

Much fatter, much slower in his feet, poor footwork and placement, his punching technique was all over the place. And against a guy like Lewis very close to his prime, 3 minutes is not going to do it.

it was pretty much the one and only time since prison that he used head movement and stalked with some success.

look he weren't great but he took his beating like a man to deserve some respect.

It was a pretty poor effort still. Just because he took 167 punches to the face does not erase the fact that the fight was very damaging for his legacy and gave Lenni the small opportunity to brag "i would have always beaten him blah blah".
