    We can see the moon with a telescope, but we cannot see Mt. Everest. Please explain. Take a telescope to the beach and scope out a boat on the horizon moving away from you. It will disappear.

    And why do those in the southern hemisphere see an entirely different set of stars from those in the northern hemisphere? Also, if gravity does not exist, and things only fall due to relative density - and considering air becomes less dense the further you go up from the surface of the planet - why don't things fall upwards?

    Really, flat earth theory is complete nonsense and, more often than not, promoted by people wanting to make a living doing so...
