I was looking at some stats on boxrec and saw something weird. Celestino Caballero at super bantamweight is just as tall as Margarito, who himself is considered freakish tall for his division. But this guy fights 5 divisions below him and weighs 25 pounds less (fight night really) but still. Anyone else know others that have a similar height advantage?
Make that LHW. He's fighting around 180 fight now, I reckon he can get down to 175. Obviously Paul Williams, he's probably about 6'2½ and I'm sure he can still make 147.
This content is protected Caballero "The towering Inferno" is a absolute freak at 5'11 1/2 or 6 ft or whatever height he is. He absolutely towers over other jr. featherweights. Guillermo Jones at 6'4, and the current WBA cruiserweight champion, started his career as a welterweight, and twice challenged Lourent Boudani for the 154 lb title back in 98'. He's a pretty good boxer too. I thought he outboxed Campbell well, but those two KD's lost him the fight, at least in the minds of two judges. He and Guzman will be interesting.
Lmfao @ many here bashed Williams for fighting smaller fighters at ww. It just shows most here in esb are stupid acting like Williams is the only fighter in a division that is so tall. It just also proves that in boxing it doesn't matter how tall a fighter are, it only matter if that fighter can make the weight.
