The most hated heavyweight fighter

c'mon i know u r smarter than this. u know he doesn't go down when he's hit hard everytime. maybe his knees buckle and has a panic attack but that's about it :yep

jab and grab style? he only held excssively in the peter fight. since then he has just used foot movement w/occasional grappling.

glass chinned? i'd say average or a smidge below. 3 stoppage losses in 52 pro hw fights isn't that bad.

i know u and the other wald haters hate to admit wlad is an elite fighter but u know he is....at some point u will run out of excuses to underrate him. i do agree there are no other top level fighters out there now. chagaev and iggy are pretty good but not outstanding. povetkin/haye are still unknowns

 

It was more of a rant than anything, after what I seen BoxingGuru said about Peter. Wlad has been down 10 times, and if you want to include the time he was given a standing 8 the Brewster fight, its 11, and hes TKO'd 3 times by less than steller competition. I cant see any Wlad fan making fun of Peter for having a shakey chin for going down 3 times and still winning, when your guy has been down 3 to 4 times more and has been knocked out, when Peter has never been knocked out.

 

well it was pretty hilarious seeing peter stumble around the ring like he just drank 10 colt 45s just as you find it funny when wlad's knees buckle after a jab. remember, peter said he would never be knocked down in his career.

but peter clearly has a better chin than wlad. id say Peter has a B chin and wlad's is a C.

 

If Wlad has a average chin, than the Heavyweight divsion is worse than I thought. How can a guy go down 11 times and be TKO'D 3 times and still be considered as having average chin? I would say Wlad is equal to Morrison and Patterson as having the weakest chins for a Heavyweight champion. I do agree that Peters chin is a B, but Wlads at best a D chin wise.

Wlad's chin isn't the greatest, but it isn't NEARLY as bad as Rahman's. Rahman's been stopped more times, and stopped in FAR more devastating fashion. Yet Wlad gets all the ****?? If his chin is glass, then Rahman's must be GRADE A china. Seriously. Rahman makes Wlad look like George Chuvalo!!:yep

 

I forgot about him, your right he would a E in my grade book, but you must remember he faced the bigger punchers/better fighters in his career, Tua twice, Lewis twice, Maskaev twice, Corrie Sanders, all big hitters.:deal

 

I know it is common to bash Ruiz. Personally I enjoyed his last fights vs. Valuev and Chagaev.
