Is probably the Hopkins/Calzaghe fight (thats right I put Calzaghe second) tell me if you think there was a time on ESB there was more hype surrounding a fight than there is with this one

Hatton-Mayweather, easily. Far more hype for what wasn't even a legitimate fight and never ought to have been made.

I'm not so sure, were there more Hatton /Mayweather threads than there are Calzaghe/Hopkins threads? The nuthuggary is strong with the Calzaghe fans and they come out in droves with all sorts of stupid threads.

Definitely not Pavlik Taylor, I am certain of this, Calzaghe and his record are a great debate on ESB here and have been ever since the Lacy fight.

Definitely more. There are maybe half a dozen DIEHARD Joe fans on ESB and then maybe a dozen more that are what I'd call very vocal and opinionated. Compare to literally scores of Mayweather and Hatton nuthuggers from both sides of the pond, and you wind up with very likely over a hundred delusional cheerleaders at a fever pitch. To their credit, Hopkins' fanbase keep a pretty low profile...even if they are clinging to the past in thinking he still has the stamina to bother Joe into the late rounds. :yep

Lewis-Klitscho was much more hyped and it carried on following Klitscho's TKO. His fans wanted him to continue even with his eye-ball hanging outta his face.
They blamed the Ref, the ring, the judges, the lights, the gloves, the ringcard girls, the fans, the seats, the commenators, the network, and finally they blamed it all on Mankind.

There was alot before Pav/Taylor I. I also might be thinking of post Pav/taylor 1 AND 2 when there were a million thread of 'Pavlik vs...'
