The Sam Langford school of intimidation works pretty well, too. Just keep knocking out top contenders week after week for a period of several years. He and Sonny Liston were probably the scariest fighters ever.
Sam Langford had a few subtleties to his intimidation game. There was an occasion when one of his opponents came to watch him sparring. When Langford saw him walk ino the arena, he knocked his sparring partner out on the spot , then turned and smiled at him.
This doesn't want to box, he wants to fight. And fight at the drop of a hat. This content is protected
But no fighters ever admit to being scared when they are actually scared. It's only after the fact, when they are sitting back and reflecting on their careers and opponents.
I look at Carlos Monzon and I see an ugly,rough-looking,slightly more masculine version of Harry Wayne Casey of Kc and the Sunshine band. Don't see what's intimidating about him at all.
You need to read up a bit, perhaps. Monzon was a ghetto indio, from the wrong side of limpieza de sangre in Argentina, **** on his whole life, treated as less than worthy in a very Euro-aspiring country. He was a cold blooded killer (unfortunately literally) who reminds me of only one other fighter in the ring... Joe Louis. I wouldn't want to come at him with a shotgun.
Big George is 6'4 & 224lbs... Tyson 5'10 & 218lbs. Any modern big heavyweights would find Foreman way more intimidating. :deal Foreman Hooooooooooooooooook!:smoke
