Here is a man who got caught cheating, whether he knew about it or for how long he got away with it, is another debate, but against Mosley there was something there.

Yet, the man has never used any other dirty tactics to get the edge; no low blows, elbows, forearms, thumbs in the eye or headbutts. No clinching when he is getting beat to pieces. Has never looked for an easy way out, even though he stands no chance in hell. Always keeps his word, even Freddy Roach admitted that Marg is known to be a stand up type of guy.

Another thing that I observed, something that stands out specifically to his last bout with cotto, the man strays away from really low insults. When asked what his opinion was about Cotto's wife saying negative things about him, he responded by simply saying that she is free to think what she wants.

Doesn't break any of the little rules, but commits the worse offense a boxer possibly can.

What I hope for is that sometime, many years from now, either him or Capetillo come out with the full truth like Resto did.

Just a very interesting man to me, thats all

Margarito seems to live by different laws then most it seems.

Not 100% he used the plaster but I leaning towards the idea he did.

    I agree.

Care to explain what makes you feel this way about him?

I met Antonio Margarito. He is one of the most genuine, kindest, and sincere "celebs" that I have ever met. He happily took pictures and signed autographs for everyone. All smiles and conversations. Lots of boxers act smooth and can't be bothered.

Friendly Boxers : Margarito, Donaire, MAB, Segura, Andre Ward, Manny Pacquiao, Breidis Prescott, Paulie Malignaggi, Berto, A.Abraham, Mario Lopez (not a boxer, but a very chill guy)

Douchebags : Judah, Cintron, Dawson, Pavlik

Its something that applies to boxing in general, but its clear in Margarito.

In life we have to deal with many forms of agression. Most of those forms are passive.

The best part of boxing is that its straight up. You get in the ring with a guy and all you want to do is knock each other out. There is no two ways about it. Its accepted on both ends. Its a bonding experience to go trough with another. Standing under the lights in the ring with all eyes on both of you.

Now Margarito might have used plaster in his wraps which is considered a weapon. Its wrong.

Now again you can name more then of a few fighters which use steroids, EPO. Its just as well cheating.

Then there are catchweights, corrupt judges, and promoters to gain the edge or acquire some edge. Its also cheating. Those are still forms of agression but more passive. Unworthy of a warrior.

Now what Margarito (probably) did was very wrong. But its so wrong that atleast there is no two ways about it.

Another rule he lives by is that he is obviously going to win after being hopelessly battered for an entire fight. He really makes no sense.

Interesting thread. I haven't seen him cheating in a fight either, apart from the wraps thing which I wouldn't want to speculate about

Didn't he take the **** out of Roach for his Parkinson's though?

He wanted to touch gloves with Cotto at the beginning of their bout. But also said **** Cotto.

No. See, that is something else that was completely flipped. He made a stupid expression that alot of hispanics do, saying "oooohhh, I'm so scared, look at how I'm shaking"

It is actually a very childish expression. But no, it had nothing to do with parkinsons.

And I'm not speculating or guessing about that video, I'm dead serious, it was a whole lot of nothing that got turned into something. Brandon Rios did make fun of Roach though.

He was laughing his ass off while Rios made very obvious jerking Parkinson's mannerisms and stutters. But, yeah, it was just friendly little Parkinson's 'coincidence '. Believable.

Dude, honestly, I'm not speculating. That is the truth. I saw the video before it was edited.

Margarito did not make fun of roach. That was all bull****, that I know. Don't believe everything you see or hear.

Another thing is that I think Margarito was so stupid/unlucky to get caught.

How was is possible for him to fight with loaded gloves in the first place. They inspect those kind of things right?

If he did it it must be happening more and must have happened many times trough out boxing history.

First thing that pops in my head was Sonny Liston who had substance on his gloves when fighting Ali.

It seems like there still needs to be a lot of cleaning up to be done.
