I was awed by the resolve on parade as Ward and Gatti battled it out for the first time. Awed. There are 2 rivals to that moment (or series of moments) for me; the same will was on display in the Hagler/Mugabi fight and when JMM got up 3 times to battle The Mexicutioner to a draw. That was Manny simultaneously peaking and streaking, imo and JMM got caught by surprise and was having none of it.

Just to think, aside from Hagler. All the guys mentioned between my post and yours, were all fighting at the same time. I will argue that the present era of boxing is lacking.

I'm about the same age as you and that Benn McClennan fight really affected me at the time. I also haven't rewatched it even though I remember it as an incredible fight at the time. We watched it after a big family BBQ and there were about 20 of us watching it at my cousin's house.

Tua was a great fighter to follow on his way up - and even for a bit after the Lewis fight

    Then he lost his way......

Steroid Shane had some great Ped's that night , he could have gone for 24 rounds. Tony should have let them pull him out he was no where near fit to fight. But That isnt in his character he thought he could beat Mosely anyway. Then Nazim made his silly " PLASTER CASTS" accusation. No one else saw them !!! Tony never had a chance after that debacle. Shane refused to fight Tony again I wonder why ????

I remember pre fight thinking Shane was gonna get killed.

And he somehow turned back the clock and pushed Margos **** the way in.

LOL Come on man. There was less proof Mosely was on PED's that fight as there was proof of plaster. Yet, here you making a claim with zero proof as if it were gospel.
