don't say Broner because he's only got started. Marquez doesn't have long left so we can judge him on his entire list of work. apart from the Pac fights, i'm massively underwhelmed to say the least.

 

i don't judge Broner by his character so i'll say what i see. he's massively overrated. to say he's underrated is just plain silly.

Paulie won that fight. he showed class after the fight. have not like Broner but thought it was simply an act to sell tickets etc. no, i was wrong. he is a classless dick. he will get ktfo and i will enjoy seeing it. i will never buy a ppv with him on it.

 

Kubrat Pulev. 32 and has only 9 ko's. Go to boxrec and look. He has fought no one worth a damn yet he is ranked #1 by the IBF.Claims he will fight Jennings next but we will see. I think he is just trying to get a free title shot because he knows he is limited.

Broner simply didnt throw enough in the whole fight to win a decision. Rounds where he barely landed a punch or more than a handful of punches were thrown. Also just becuase paulie didn't do much damage, neither did broner.

:-( is antics were funny i thought. i like showman in the ring, but how the hell did paulie win on points ? he won 4 rds at best maybe 5. what happen to paulie making his opponents look like they went threw windmills ? :huh

every paulie combo was blocked and picked off. a few body shots and a occasional jab would land for paulie. he might have landed 1 shot in a 6 hit combo. broner landed the harder, crisper, cleaner shots through out the whole fight. plus he had paulie shook a few times in the fight, paulie got caught with big shots at the end of the rds. if broner would have landed that **** early in the rds he could have put on some real damage. paulie's better then average defense was in play big time that night and that saved him .

You seriously need to know the definition of scoring punches, so here it is.

A punch landing to either head or body, thrown with force, with the knuckle part of the glove is a scoring punch.

Thats why fighters who throw 6 or 7 pitty pat punches, and only take 1 in return win fights. No matter how hard the 1 they take is. Ali took bombs off Frazier, but landed dozens of weaker punches more than Joe, hence the wins. Big punchers dont automatically win fights that go the distance, just because they hit harder than the other guy.

Computers, and Ama's have nothing to do with it. The rules regarding scoring punches are the same.

Computer scoring only means a majority of the judges have to register a punch within a certain time ( I think it is 2 seconds ) for that punch to be counted.

They are still looking for it to land on head or body with the knuckle part of the glove.

 

There are so many things to love about the guys you mentioned. Ali, Duran, Macho Man, Foreman....in fact all of the guys you mentioned have a warrior's mentality, are courageous and some (like Ali and Foreman) have funny and likable personalities.

Broner has neither personality, intelligence, courage, class....nothing. Can you imagine anyone in the future listening to Broner saying "its on the floor like a floor tile", and finding that personable? He's far more likely to become a a picture for pin the tail on the donkey, like Audley Harrison.

 

Agreed. Ive only seen him do well against one great fighter. I think his ratings will decrease when he's retired though. I thinik he's riding very high on his Pacquaio shock clouds, which he deserves for the moment.

 

Amir Khan would take Broner apart.

 

Barrera as well, and many world class fighters marterful Boxing technique, far from overrated.

Broner is a joke, can't wait to see him face some one with good power and good defence.
