This poll is ****. How are any of these fighters overrated?

And don't give me that "Hopkins' big wins came against smaller guys" bull****. Who did Hagler's big wins come against? Is Hagler overrated? please.

Well you need to better define what over rated means. For instance, Marciano, logically, is not over rated. I say this because you won't find many top 10 list that don't have him on it, but you will also never see him ranked aboved Ali. Therefore most would agree he is a top 10 heavyweight but not the greatest that ever fought.

The best example up there is Roy Jones, as some see him as top 10 p4p ATG, or Max Kellerman who actually asserted RJJ was possibly the greatest that ever fought.

I dont think any of these fighters are overrated. Jones is underrated by many and also overrated by a few. Hopkins might be a little underrated. When you consider Marciano would only be a cruiser he is far from overrated unless your talking about him betting Big great heavys. I dont think Mayweather is overrated at all but his careeer isnt over yet so its hard to say.

people like to revere fighters of the past. personally, i think marciano is the weak link here.

i expected a lot of people to say hopkins because his style often wasn't pretty...but that man owned the ring and he knew what he was doing in it.
it's a credit to him that he can be competitive far longer than jones. the reason though is because jones was an offensive machine and when the desire left and age set in he had no defence. hopkins does.
