    Actually it was a 'pointless fight'.

    Leon didn't deserve it, and if Ali 'lost', he would be considered a
    'washed up Champion'.

    Floyd Patterson vs Pete Rademacher had more interest, because it was intriguing.

    Frazier v Stander is about as pointless as it gets. Pretty sure bet you wont win when your own wife makes a comment like Rons wife has been quoted as saying

    This was not a pointless fight! This led to THE greatest movie series of all times. Probably the most important fight of modern day boxing.

    At the time,

    It was being called the "Embarrassment of the Century".

    And Chuck Wepner was very much 'disliked' in New Jersey for
    being labeled the 'dirtiest fighter on the east coast'.
