Not sure if I'd say that, while Baer chasing Carnera around the ring is a spectacle and looks sadistic, Baer was pretty shaken by the fact he could seriously hurt and even kill someone in the ring, and a lot of people think he never really psychologically recovered from Frankie Campbell's death.

Guys like Dempsey and Duran on the other hand, had no problem with dishing out punishment of the worst sort, and hurting a guy any way possible. You can't watch, for example, Dempsey-Willard or Duran-Moore and not come to the conclusion that these guys were perfectly fine with pounding someone into jelly and hurting them a whole lot.

Whitaker could be cruel, showboating against fighters who were clearly outclassed & trying they're hardest.

Tito as of recent. Seems to have had a good time putting a beating on people. By recent, I mean the last 15 years.

Very good pick. Ali not being a puncher or an aggressive fighter never seems to fall in this category but when you look at the Patterson fights and his fight with Earnie Terrell- you see a fighter who really wanted to punish his opponent.

Is punishing your opponent the name of the game??

I mean Rocky dish out beatings on LarSarza, and Lee Salvold, and no one called him sadistic.

Dempsey did what he did to Willard, because well, he had too.

Ali vs Terrell and Patterson was just Ali outclasses the guys so bad. Had they gone down in 6 or 7 rounds like Folly, it would not be as bad.

I mean Matthews went out early vs Marciano, but had he been on his feet in rounds 8 or 9, it would be just as bad as the Charles or Cockell beatings.

Tempted to say Pac aswell, even though he does it with a smile on his face. Dunno if that makes him more sadistic/ruthless or not:think

That's something I can't respect. Show your opponent some ****ing respect if he's putting his heart out there-- he doesn't have to ****ing fight you.

The Willard fight was certainly disturbing, I don't really care for it as it's just too ****ing brutal. Watching Willard keep getting up to get smacked by Dempsey is just sickening. Dempsey was a cold mother****er in the ring, for sure. I don't feel Tyson qualifies as he looked like more of a perfect machine than a brute, to me at least. He also helped up many of his KO'd opponents.

Duran. After he knocks out Ray Lampkin, who is taken to the hospital,Duran being interviewed, gleefuly says "next time I kill him".Lampkin never was the same.Make no mistake, many times I have watched the destruction of Duran at the hands of Thomas Hearns.
