Teddy Yarosz--I have never seen anyone even mention him but me.

Defeated 10 world champions--Tommy Freeman, Vince Dundee, Ben Jeby, Pete Latzo, Babe Risko, Ken Overlin, Solly Krieger, Lou Brouillard, Billy Conn, and Archie Moore

Also defeated--Sammy Slaughter, Paul Pirrone, Oscar Schmeling, Oscar Rankins, Carmen Barth, Ralph DeJohn, Al Gainer, Nate Bolden, Jimmy Reeves, and Lloyd Marshall

By the way, fought 11 world champions and beat 10 of them. Only Ezzard Charles, who Yarosz lost to in his next to last fight, was a champion who fought Yarosz and was not defeated by him.

We have to include Les Dracy also...

In his last fight, Darcy KOd Chip, who went the distance 3 months prior with Greb. Chip went the distance 3 times with Greb.

Darcy also bettered former Welter chanp, Jimmy Clabby on 2 occassions over 20 rounds....

Darcy was the better fighter on 2 occasions against Jeff Smith, even though both fights were finished via fouls. Smith went the distance with Greb on 7 occassions

Darcy twive beat K.O Brown, who went the distance 4 times with Greb.

Darcy KOd Eddie McGoorty twice, who was to last the distance with Harry Geb

Darcy KOd buck Crouse in 2 rounds. The following year, Greb KOd Crouse in 5 rounds...

As Greb is always considered the Yard Stick for the Middles pre. SRR, then Darcy deserves higher accolades.. He was 20 Y/O when he last faught... We missed something special... He would have matched or bettered Greb in all facets. A truly underrated fighter...

I'll tell you who is the most over rated , none other than the colorful , lovable Rocky Graziano ... you have to like the Rock but he was not a top forty middleweight in my book ...

Lloyd Marshall hands down. Defeated Jake Lamotta, Charley Burley, Ezzard Charles, Holman Williams......ENOUGH SAID! who had a middleweight resume like that. h2h he had a style like archie moore except more bobbing and weaving from a crouch.

Marcel Cerdan. Great champion. Beat great fighters like Tony Zale and Holman Williams. Lost to Lamotta primarily because he was injured. Would have beaten Jake if healthy. Should be considered a top 10 middleweight of all time, but rarely is.

NO WAY! jake had his number. he was too much of an animal for monzon. in their fight, Jake was a hungry lion who had been ducked out of a title shot all the years and finally got his chance....nothing was stopping him. Even before cerdan got injured, lamotta floored cerdan with a left hook and was beating the **** out of him in round 1, then cerdan got aggresive and because of lamottas superior strength he manhandled cerdan injuring him......then jake beat the hell out of him for another 9 rounds. Jake owned cerdan. give credit where credit is due.

I think cerdan is overated. Holman Williams and Tony Zale were far past there best days when cerdan took them on. Cerdan has a padded record he mostly feasted on euro bums his whole career, and didnt take on alot of top american rated middleweights, and he even ducked charley burley. Cerdan never even took on the best middleweight of france(robert villamain) of the era! id say hes very unproven, and lamotta exposed him a bit.
