Who were the most undeserving choices of challenger - fighters who hadn't earned their shot at all - who ended up beating the champion ?

For example, George Foreman in 1994 against Moorer.
Leonard against Hagler in 1987 ?

Pipino Cuevas. Poor record, coming off a loss, just a journeyman/boy with a punch, you might have suspected. That he'd get and hold onto the title like that...almost bizarre.

Look closer at Saensak's record before you rush to judgement.

First fight: one round kayo of Rudy Barro...a tough journeyman who was coming off an upset victory of undefeated and highly ranked Jimmy Heair two fights earlier.

Second fight: a victory over a Top 10 contender, Lion Furuyama (Furuyama had gone the distance with Cervantes in one try at the title , and, only two fights and less than a year before he met Saensak, dropped a split decision loss to Perico Fernandez in an attempt to win the vacant WBA strap)

He earned his ranking, strange as it may seem. There have been many fighters who were more undeserving of shots that Muangsaurin was.
