    Ah yes, Archie Moore.

That unheralded boxer that is included regularly in most people top 10/20 all-time greatest fighters in any division.

In the modern era I would throw someone like Cosme Rivera into the argument. Always came to win and was a tough ******* as well.

Marlon Starling deserves a mention here. Very underrated and never gets talked about here.

    Scrap Iron Johnson.

Billy Miske. Miske no journeyman, he was a great fighter, and one of the most heroic of any fighter who ever lived.

Scrap Iron Johnson was a good call:good I thought of him as soon as i saw this thread but got side tracked with other guys, Saoul Mamby too,but i saw that someone mentioned him.

The Real Rocky Balboa(or Jaime Balboa) the Mexican JW and Welter journeyman was pretty tough and could punch and often gave world class guys all they could handle. HAd a record of 65-27-1-59kos and drew with a prime Derrell Coley and kod Sammy Fuentes. Also saw him give a prime Vince pHillips a good fight.

KIrino Garcia was also a rough customer fighting anyone anywhere anytime from Welter up to Light Heavy. One tough customer great chin.

They even had a write up on him in sports illustrated about how he will go anywhere to fight anyone on short notice.
