Who is the most weak world champion at Welterweight (147 lbs) currently ? I counted IBO too, I'm currently think about Lewis Crocker or Rolando Romero what is your opinion ?
Its Romero, that dude is trash. I could care less about his win over the limited Garcia, Pacquiao could beat him now
Yes Pacquiao / or Jack Catterall who are the two names for his next defense will probably beat him I think that too.
I don't like Romero but his clear win over Garcia is a much much better win than anything Crocker has achieved, and Crocker's two best wins were controversial against a complete hype job.
Resumes don't win fights. Garcia had a better than Romero before he lost. Crocker would probably beat up Romero just because he's a bit more skilled
Fighters who couldn’t get a foothold during stronger eras of welterweight would have a good chance of becoming undisputed when it’s this much of a barren void. All divisions go through peaks and dips but this is a very low period, they’re world class champions just unimpressive compared to what we’ve been spoiled by I guess. Maybe they’ll go onto do greater things and prove themselves. Ortiz (didn’t even get to make a dent due to that rhabdo problem) and Ennis moving up left a vacuum but there was nobody near that level left behind. So maybe it’s actually more interesting we didn’t get the welterweight two horse show idk.
I'd say Lewis Crocker. Rolly can at least bang and has a really good team behind him. Crocker has Billy Graham's former assistant in Billy Nelson, who just isn't a world level coach, whereas Rolly has a fair few knowledgeable guys in his camp with Ismael Salas and Joel Casamayor. Rolly has a higher ceiling and wins over Ryan and Yigit mean more than two highly controversial wins over Paddy Donovan imo.
You include IBO but not WBO? I'm no big Haney fan, but omitting him from the poll and including Vadim Musaev is ...quite a choice. Anyway, historically speaking all five belt holders are pretty weak.
