It wouldn't look no where near like George's. Foreman would have knocked Ruiz's whole head off. He was an old man when he brutalized Gerry Cooney and Cooney was 6'6" and no slouch. Wlad is the same height. Foreman was 6'4" and fought several 6'6" guys. Parker ain't no George Foreman by a long shot.
And by the way, Foreman never got KTFO in his prime or second comeback. The Ali loss was a combination of punching himself out and heat and exhaustion. People saying he wouldn't be able to compete with today's HW's or would be average DKSAB, guess what. He fought Holyfield who was 6' 3" who fought Lewis who beat VK. Many people believed Holyfield won against Lewis.
What exactly are the facts that tell you how Foreman would handle modern day SHWs like Bowe, Lewis, V/W Klitschko or AJ? Foreman made a career out of sending guys SMALLER than him to the emergency room. That's why they called him "big" George Foreman. Foreman wouldn't be big by today's standards. His punching power against 245 lbs elite fighters is largely unknown -- and usually made up on boxing forums using anecdotes such as the size of the holes he put into heavy bags. Fairytales that don't hold their weight.
Hahaha, you just proved you don't know much about boxing. Guess what, ever heard of Evander Holyfield, he defeated Bowe and many people thought he won against Lewis. He couldn't put away Foreman and lost to Moorer who by the way was KTFO by Foreman. VK lost against Lewis and WK has a glass chin. Which all time great has AJ fought against. If you don't like Foreman, that's fine everyone has a right to their own opinion but don't try to discredit a great fighter who's last fight was 19 years ago.
And guess how tall Holyfield was, that didn't stop him from KO'ing taller fighters. By the way, a past prime Holyfield almost beat the guy you have on your avatar, which I might say is pathetic.
Foreman will always be ranked somewhere on a hard hitters list . I have him around 7 i have a few over him when talking one punch hits..
I totally agree within the top 10 hard hitters of all time and number 3 all time HW hitters of all time.
I watched an interivew/documentary where Holyfield said George hit him the hardest he'd ever been hit - think it was in the 11th round, said something to the effect that he went back into his corner and asked if he still had his teeth, I'm not saying George would steam roll through todays HWs with this - but you cannot deny the man had power, enough that would trouble any man if hit clean.
Actual he has another vid and said he couldn't say if Foreman hit harder than Tyson bc he moved more in the Tyson fight . He was also bigger in 96 than he was in 91.
That's what I'm talking about, he wouldn't knock out every single fighter but people saying he would be a mediocre HW today, that I don't agree it's like saying SRR would be an average fighter now days. The technical part and diet might of changed but athleticism, power are natural gifts.
He said something similar in the video I watched of him - said that Tyson didnt hit him as hard because he wasnt able to land a shot with as much power behind it, But Foreman did hit Holyfield with the hardest shot that landed on him - still says alot about his power
and old foreman was robbed vs shannon briggs who is essentially a big HW even by todays standards. as was Savarese. Moorer was also essentially the same size as foreman. Coetzer was bigger. Alex stewart was the same size. ****, even holyfield is about the same size as foreman. GERRY COONEY IS THE SAME SIZE AS KLITCHKO a young foreman mopped up Ken Norton, who is the same size as him, ron lyle, who is about the same size. Wepner who is TALLER THAN FOREMAN. this BS you are spitting that foreman only beat smaller guys is pretty damn wrong. he KO'd guys bigger than him and around the same size. Also klitchko was finishedby guys smaller than foreman. As was lennox lewis. to suggest foreman wouldnt find success today is pretty pathetic
The cards are stacked against Foreman to be exceptional today. Is it impossible? No, this is boxing, anything can happen. But Foreman couldn't rely on his height and weight advantage today like he could do 45 years ago. You know what's pathetic? That boxing fans go completely apesh** when someone says a top athlete from 50 years ago would be mediocre in today's era. In all other 200 Olympic disciplines no one would disagree. Just some deluded boxing fans so violently argue their old era heroes would mop the floor with modern day champions.
but he didn't rally on his height advantage, ever. its almost like you've only seen him fight frazier and quawi. its pathetic that you think guys from today are really that much better than guys from back in the day. Objectively that's wrong.
