Giovanetti managed Joey Giardello and later Joltin Jeff Chandler prior to Chandler winning the championship. He disappeared in 1977.

The only thing I can track down is he had mob ties (not sure to what degree), and that his car was found at the Philadelphia Airport. And was never seen again. I can’t seem to track down anything of substance.

Has anyone ever heard any leads or rumors in regards to the disappearance???

My first official post on this forum. I signed up just to respond to your post. Boxing/Combat Sports is of course a passion of mine. True crime is another passion.

Anyway, I went ahead and turned your thread topic into a Reddit question for their unresolvedmysteries sub-reddit. Sometimes they manage to dig up interesting stuff. In fact, check it out because I already found one possible interesting lead to explore/consider:

If they find your car at the airport, you're dead. They park it there so people are under the impression you flew somewhere else.

See "The Sopranos" Season Five, the episode "Long Term Parking."

I read the link. If he was last seen at the Body and Fender shop, then that's where he was killed or where he was thrown in his car and taken somewhere to be killed. Mystery solved.
