Tyson has Dave Jaco, Mike Jameson, Steve Zouski, and Lorenzo Canady on his prospect record.. That's stellar as far as I'm concerned. :good

Back in the Maricano/Tyson thread, I've argued they deserve equal credit at least.

You can make an argument either way. Holmes was inactive leading into Tyson fight but did good things when he made a proper comeback years later. Louis was active and did good things leading to the Marciano fight but was finished afterward.

I disagree. Louis was a great boxer and still jabbing people's heads off around the time he fought Marciano. Holmes was coming off the lay-off, was his career heaviest, and he'd hardly looked impressive against Spinks and Williams 2-3 years earlier.
They are at about the same stage.

:huh This is sloppy reasoning. Or twisted logic.
The fact that Larry Holmes made another comeback doesn't impact at all on where a 1951 Joe Louis was at.

Yeah, but that was before Ruddock was Godzilla.

Of course, past-prime Tyson beat Godzilla.
Tyson beat a whole slew of Godzillas .... and Gorillas .... and Gods.

Neither weak or strong. Holmes was at a low point when he fought Tyson. He did not have time to train and wasn't active. Later on Holmes was better post Tyson.

As for Smith and Berbick, Holmes KO'd Smith before, and shut out Berbick 15-0 on one card.

Tyson was using Holmes beaten foes for title shots, including Spinks who clearly lost the re-match to Holmes.

Funny Team Tyson avoided Tim Witherspoon!

Thomas, Ruddock, Tucker, and Bruno are all good wins.

firstly Tyson wipes his ass with Witherspoon

secondly team Tyson didnt avoid Tim. Tim lost to Smith who Tyson then fought for the WBA title

thirdly Tim took don and.carl king to court around the same time so king basically blackballed him from getting any paydays as king controlled the division at the time

Are there ANY lengths you will not go to in your quest to promote the convicted s.e.x. BEAST Tyson?

Do PLEASE tell us why you are convinced he would have single handedly beaten Genghis Khan, Attila The Hun, Caligula, Julius Caesar, Adolf Hitler, and Al Quaeda, with ease?

In every thread that mentions Mike Tyson, YOU post more than 5 times anyone else. All of which try to convince everyone that he is the GREATEST fighter / Heavyweight who EVER lived.

Ask yourself WHY that is, you MORONIC scum.

You've caught him in a good mood .He can get quite abusive when he hasn't taken his medication.

Because he is still here several posters are wondering if he owns the site.
I'd tell him there is no" u" in Al-Qaeda, but I'd probably get a death threat back.

True. Witherspoon wasn't even rated by the WBC/WBA/IBF due to corrupt boxing politics.

The Witherspoon who fought Holmes in '83 and Smith in '85 might beat Tyson. But we didn't see that version of Tim often at all.

Witherspoon could have pulled a Douglas, but not in the 86-88 timeframe, no chance. The only reason people bring up Spoon as a guy who could have done XYZ to Tyson is because Tyson didnt get the chance to demolish him like her did to (nearly) everyone else

I find it strange people accuse Tyson of ducking 'Spoon without even knowing the full facts.

Lets says 'Spoon beats Smith and Tyson beats 'Spoon for the WBA title, people on here would be claiming Tyson ducked Smith!!!!!!!

There is an interesting sub-chapter on Spoon in Tysons book by Peter Heller.

The Kings screwed 'Spoon over. Carl was his manager and Don his promoter so he was stuck between a rock and a hard place.

Theres a mention of one story where 'Spoon was 'accidentally' overcharged by King for services rendered. Instead of $700 for sparring partners, Don 'accidentally' added an extra zero and he charged Tim $7,000 for sparring partner costs.
