Myth #1 - Hopkins was robbed against Calzaghe

Calzaghe clearly won that fight, all hopkins did was to hold and spoil but for some reason most people seem convinced hopkins was robbed.

Myth #2 - Macklin was robbed against sturm

no, no, NO! Fight could have swung either way but macklin defo wasnt robbed, and he never did enough to grab the title from the champion in his backyard

Myth #3 - Cleverley is a legitimate world champion

Theres a thread right now over on the General Forum with 50% of the posters claiming that Prince Naseem Hamed even though he unified a division was a complete Hypejob!!

That's probably because most of them started watching boxing when Pacquiao beat Clottey

Come on lads, for those who say Naz was schooled, post a scorecard

its possible to 'school' someone in the sense we are talking about here with a scorecard of say 8-4, particularly if the loser takes some early rounds. I think people mean a schooling in the sense that Barrera always seemed one step ahead of Naz and he couldnt adapt to Barerras adaptations (if that makes sense).

Gimme a couple hours to watch it pal, i gota do it in round by round segments so i can disguise myself in the office

I just think that means Berrera is a better fight. But it doesnt necessarily point to a schooling IMO.

Watch the fight, and keep in mind what I said about Naz's awful balance making Berrera's shots look far more effective than they proably were :good

I have went over this yonks ago with el cepello and posted a score card. I cant remember, I think I had Barerra winning by 4 or 5 rounds. The amount of rounds that he won by or if it was a beat down (which it wasnt) isnt the how I would define a schooling. Naz got schooled in every department in that fight, inside, countered, ring generalship etc. It was a fight in which his bubble got well and truly burst and the limitations of his style was exposed a well schooled elite fighter.

Naz was great for boxing and very entertaining, but Barerra schooled him imo.

  7. I strongly argue that after the 7th/8th round when it was obvious that he would lose naz stopped trying. It could have been a lot closer but it wasn't a schooling.

Did Barrera get his nose broken by Hamed?

It was no Calzaghe-lacy schooling but Hamed was out foxed

Naz was very good for British boxing and the sport in general .....
However, he was outboxed on this occasion. Barrera, the noted aggressor, fought as a counter punter. Naz never worked out a soluation and became increasingly ragged the further the fight went.
Odds of 3-1 Barrera in the casinos.

I'm not denying Naz was out boxed (as I had Barrera winning).

As someone just said, Calzaghe - Lacy was a schooling. This was nowhere near that level

I'd value Garry Glitters views sooner than the little ****tards on the general.

Sorry but Naz had his pants pulled down, end of.

    Funniest thing I've ever seen.

Naz was struggling with likes of Augie Sanchez, I felt MAB could do it and he did but in a different way. Felt he'd walk forward more but his lateral movement staying on outside of Naz southpaw stance with his jab over top and right hand was simply beautiful text book boxing. Plus his ring generalship was there to see he controlled the fight and the tempo. A true ATG performance :deal.
