i've noticed a lot of people on here have been saying how harrison is going to get his glass jaw smashed when he fights haye and things like that but i've got to ask since when does being ko'd once mean you have a glass jaw i cant ever remember him getting put down other than against sprott he just has a lack of confidence when he gets inside the ring.
I have made this very point on here before. He was down once against Williams from a big clubbing right hand but as far as I'm aware that's it.
He was put down by a past-it Danny Williams for starters. He has a bad chin and on top of that, is completely incapable of dealing with pressure. He's going to get savagely ko'd by Haye.
ok then he got ko'd by sprott and put down once by danny williams a guy who had something like a 70%ko ratio
He is afraid to get hit so he fights with a safety first attitude. The only reason he didn't get KO'ed more was because he wasn't fighting good enough opposition.
I think just by watching him and how he reacts to getting hit, you can see his chin's not very good. I've seen worse but he doesn't seem to take a very good shot. Will you be surprised when Haye flattens him?
Doesn't have a bad chin, just never fought with any confidence, heart, or passion... From the sound of things, if we are to beleieve any of what he says, he has gotten over those problems for this fight... Would be nice to see!
even if you discount the knockdown's it's plain to see if you watch a lot of his fights that he hasn't the best chin, seen his legs stiffen too many times from blocked punches etc.
Ultimately his lack of confidense has been a far worse handicap than a bad(rather than a merely ok) chin would have been anyway. Classic example of someone becoming a pro too late IMHO and never really getting comfortable taking punishment.
Harrison has never been down legitimately, every time he got hit the opposing fighter, the opposing fighters corner and the referee dragged him down to the floor, to which the referee counted it as a knockdown and started the ten count. Harrison has a bad chin? Never heard such bull****.
He did, in the 12th I think. Then he went in for the kill and got splatted himself :-( Should have stayed away, circled towards Harrison's right hand.... would have won a clear UD.
