Sanders was in his life's form and very focused.

We have seen something similar with Tyson's first loss.... his victor also didn't do much after that, but he was really good in that fight.

I believe he was knocked out by feather-fisted Nate Tubbs.

Sanders was a bit like a HW Zab Judah. Fast hands and pop, left handed, dangerous in the early going.

Sanders had athletic gifts but wasn't especially dedicated to the sport of boxing.

He took a beating from vitali, but vitali may have carried him a bit for the last few rounds, because he is sadistic like that

CS could have been the best of them all, but he didn't particularly care. The great Wladimir Klitschko had the misfortune to run in to him one of the very few times in his life that he bothered to get himself into top condition. They all were careful to avoid him at his peak - Lewis, Tyson, all of them - plus he lived in demonized South Africa, and he wouldn't abandon his country as did Botha (who he beat four times in the amateurs).

The biggest fight of his life - and I couldn't believe how he showed up for it - ****ing fat! And Vitali was peak, beautiful to watch, and still CS was just by inches missing him with bombs all night long.

He was knocking Rahman around like a rag doll until he ran out of gas. He admitted that he did zero running in training for that fight. His last comeback fight, vs Chief Bongo Bongo or whoever the hell he was, likewise he was smacking him around like a rag doll, until the chief tapped him in his stomach, and down he fell. Guaranteed, he didn't do one single situp training for that.

I like how he was supposed to have massive power, despite a relatively low KO% and he couldn't KO Glass Jaw Rahman in his prime...

    The MYTH of Corrie Sanders????

You have to be kidding me. That may be the stupidest thing I have ever heard.

We all know Corrie Sanders was the first born son of Zeus, longtime lover of Aphrodite, and bitter rival of arch-nemesis Poseidon.

Anyone who says he's anything more than that is just blowing smoke.

Fast as **** and great power. If he took conditioning seriously, he would have been HW champ.
