And i don't see where the issue is. Nobody claims Sanders was even a top fighter. He could have been, and he undoubtedly had natural speed, power and coordination.
67% of ko percentage isn't low. Especially considering the way he fought. He demonstrated often single-punch knockout power.

But, of course, he was just a journeyman with a punch and a chin, that won the jackpot going all in in a fight he wasn't supposed to be competitive in.

Kinda like Douglas, someway. Wastes of talent, good potential that was never even remotely fulfilled, for a set of reasons. They had their one fight in wich they won big destroying their supposedly unbeatable opponents and future atgs.
    And then nothing.

Wich means Vitali has a weaker chin than Rhaman, making him extremely glass chinned ? It's more plausible that Sanders had bricks as hands, considering Rahman was drunk for the entirety of the fight.

its HW boxing not tictactoe - if a landed punch isnt going to hurt at HW, then theres not much point throwing it.

There's a difference between dangerous and unbeatable. To pretend he wasn't a big southpaw puncher with handspeed to match is distorting the reality of things. He was a dangerous frontrunner- if you could take him late, his lack of training discipline would inevitably catch up with him.

Sanders was never unbeatable, but had the right blend of tools to upset guys more skilled and better conditioned than he was.

He was still a risky matchup and Wlad wouldn't be the only champ he had the tools to upset. Not by a long shot.

with that description, pretending that he wasn't a retired guy with a career as a neveracheiver seems to be the distortion you are making.

he was southpaw, you were rgith there.

    plus with decent power.

UR right. Tyson refused to fight him. Holyfield refused to fight him. Lewis refused to fight him. Ruiz refused to fight him. Moorer and Briggs refused to fight him.

All of whom had the opportunity to, but chose easier targets to make defenses against.

Sanders was high risk, low reward.

Everyone saw what he did to Sprott and Rahman and said FUKK THAT SHIIT. I aint getting my cranium cracked vs a nobody.

That is, except the only 2 HW Champions with BOLLS.:thumbsup
