apart from....... (much of which admittedly could be hearsay)

His general behaviour, specifically his problems with rage
His reluctance to train at times and his depression. (I am sure there were also other factors involved with these two e.g. his background)
His admitted use of recreational drugs during his fighting days. (which suggests he didn't have a problem using illegal substances)
His physical appearance - sure he had a super strong frame naturally as a boy but seriously that neck was enormous early on and then later he seemed to srink down a little in the neck and shoulders. You see pictures of Mike (next to Vitali) now and can't help but wonder how this short little guy could provoke so much fear - the answer is his power which frankly seemed unnatural then and now looks inexplicable.
The wide spread use of undetected steriods amongst top level professional sports people in America in the early 80's (that has since come to light)
Plus i am not sure i've ever heard him actually deny it - the question was notably absent in the recent "tell all" documentary. - Drug use remains boxings greatest taboo, it has been an enormous muscular elephant in the room for years now and i suspect its use is still widespread in all countries in the sport and that the majority of champoins are using something illegal.

I love Mike by the way but I think the likelyhood is he was hooked on riods for much of his career and right from the very start

:patsch If this is an example then go arrest half the population in the ghettos because this is a common theme every day on the street.

It's frustration and some say Fear. Not roids.

Roid rage is way overrated. If Roid-rage was so true you would have a lot more athletes exploding___wouldn't you?

Prisons are filled with people with mental issues and not from people on steroids suffering from roid-rage.

Tyson was messed up as a kid just as much as an adult. If anything, being in the spot-light magnified everything because of stress/pressure.

People suffer from rage attacks all the time. I know because I was one for years until I finally got a grip on things. And still have my issues. Even as a little kid I used to have explosions. Except they used to call them tantrums. and it made its way to "rage attacks" as you got older.
It's all mental. Although High-T levels may contribute to it as well I guess. But only if you are mentally already in a state of stress/frustration.

Even though he roided hes heart would have been three times bigger without them.

It's not ALL about the losses he is a great warrior and for that he will be rememberd.

If so, then D'Amato, Jacobs, Cayton and Rooney all knew about it because he was already big as a teen when he turned pro.

For drugs, true, but a lot of people use drugs. Alcohol, weed, etc. And people love those prescription meds.

Neck and shoulders can be a sign but it also has to with diet. Certain foods can puff up certain areas of the body. Starting with the face.
Dairy and Meat for one are big contributing factors of making your face and neck hold on to more weight.
    Same with training.

But yes, anything is possible. Especially when money is involved.

But remember, that look he had in the 80's has been seen before in "natural" bodybuilders.

Steve Reeves and John Grimek and many others for example were already big and swelled before Steroids came to America in the 50's. And that ripped look, all the same.

Tyson was 5'9 190 at 14 years old with not a ounce of fat on his body, he was naturally built like a brick shithouse and that's with a bad diet, doing drugs and not training like a pro.

Holy was obviously a juicer, as was RoidsJonesJr, as was james toney, as was sugar shane, the list goes on.
