    How about we do a AV bet for the upcoming Cotto-May fight???

    If Cotto wins, ill rock this AV for another year after el Cinco de Mayo...If Floyd wins, you get to rock a Mayweather wearing the mexican sombrero AV...How about it, Vato??? :deal

    Very interesting post. Recent DNA investigations into the Spanish genetics have revealed that very few modern Spaniards have DNA in common with those peoples of North Africa, meaning the notion of much intergration between the Moors and Christian Spanish is more myth than reality.

    You are correct, however, when you point out the Jewish influence. I believe that the same study I referenced above revealed that somewhere in the neighborhood of 7-8% of modern day Spaniards have DNA in common with Jewish peoples of the Middle East.

    It is a fascinating subject, probably best saved for another thread. :bbb

    I agree but when people throw racism around without knowing that there is only one race but the human race. You have to show the facts...

    Note: The Jews in Spain were expelled and moved into the Netherlands,and the new world. Spain is the majority Celt and Visigothic I know this since I do population genetics and know the history of Spain very well...

    Spaniards are not of Anglo Saxon origin , but the majority tested within selected haplogroups are of a Celt or of Germanic origin. Also the further south you went back in the 1400's there was admixture of the cultures was prevalent,but like I pointed many immigrated to the new World especially Mexico that was deemed the New Spain and the inquisition was not as strong. This is why Cortez killed many of his own soldiers when he found out they were secretly Jewish in Mexico etc. Those were the times of religious fervor and things were done on a this extreme religion and racial caste system on grouping people.

    btw , Skin color does not define what your origins are , but your y-dna and mt-dna mutations happen... best kept for another site and not an boxing one...

    Ok the excuse is at an a so called "Elite Level" or "Significant fights"...

    Can any of you prove that show me the fights that were an "ELITE LEVEL" or "SIGNIFICANT"?

    Just because you all say so and don't prove it means nothing, but just a talking point without any basis or facts...

    Juan Ma Lopez beat Ponce De Leon and made Rafael Marquez quit, and has a record of 4 ko's over Mexicans.

    Gomez beat every single Mexican at 122 lbs and only lost to Sanchez at 126 lbs.

    Calderon beat every single Mexican , but lost at 38 years old to Segura...

    It's very simple...Name ALL you're TOP Puerto Rican fighters EVER...The TOP names in Puerto Rican boxing, and you will see that just about every single PR fighter lost to a Mexican when he stepped up in competition...But if we name ALL the TOP Mexican fighters ever, only one has lost to a Puerto Rican.

    Puerto Ricans can fight and beat as many Tomato Cans as they wish in order to fluff up their records, but HISTORY proves that just about everytime a Puerto Rican fought the BEST Mexican of that era, he was KTFO or given an ass whoopin...

    Let me do your homework for you, since all you can do is post some random busll**** stat saying PR is greater because they beat more MX cab drivers...

    Last time you checked Boxrec you saw that...Last time anyone saw the fight, they saw De La Hoya get robbed....That is the consensus, that is reality, and Trinidad ranks lower than DLH as an ATG.

    Juanma also has TWO embarrassing KO losses to a Mexican. :yep

    Gomez was a legit fighter, but once he stepped up to fight that best Mexican of his era, he was KTFO.

    Every single Mexican :lol:. Not Giovanni Segura...And Calderon was fighting Mexicans like Lorenzo Trejo with record like 18-14-1...WTF?? You celebrating that?? :lol:




    These guys were never world champions and were barely contenders. :patsch



    The BEST PR win over a Mexican.. in 1978..hahahahahaha...
    hahaha...Mexico obviously has the upper hand...More champions by a huge margin, destroyed just about every single Elite PR fighter except for one.
