Please, after the JuanMa-Rafa, Margo-Cotto 2 fights all you ricans were celebrating like you all won the lottery...As soon as your fighters started losing, most of y'all dissapeared.

No... we only hype when we beat and dethrone a PR champ or legit fighter...Problem is, PR has none left..Cotto, Saul might tap that ass in a year or two, but he won't be champ by then after Mayweather rapes him.

Whoever said your island isn't competitve? There wouldn't be a rivalry if it wasn't....PR is a major force in boxing, i have always admitted that.

    USA
    Mexico
    Puerto Rico

Only when Mexicans win it counts in your world, but not in the real world. Sorry but the records stand. You can pick and chose fights to your convince that is all good , and you can also live in a world void of reality. That won't change that a small island is beating Mexican and Mexican - American boxers.

Not to say the Philippines, Thailand, and Japan are slowly whipping Mexicans in world title bouts, and they have an equal population.

It's like saying that the 300 Spartans got their asses kicked by 300,000 Persians, and that proved the Persians were the best in the world...

Or saying Santa Ana was a great General because he beat 100 Texians at the Alamo....

Puerto Rico is a small island only 9,104 km2 big with a population of just 3,706,690 million vs. Mexico a nation the 14th biggest in the planet earth with a population of 112,322,757 that is 11th in the world.

That is hard to swallow , but a fact that Mexicans and Mex-Americans should be in a rivalry versus the U.S.A, England , Argentina or Japan. But are in a rivalry with a small island in the Caribbean. That either shows that Mexican Boxing is just mediocre at best....

Haha, posters that know what they're talking abotu were NOT hyping up JuanMa. I knew his ass was a B level fighter with decent power since I've seen him. His technique got even shitter and his stamina at 126. Next. Calderon's ****ing loss is not as meaningful, you know that damned well Freddy, if you don't your looking like a straight pendejo.

If a Mex would have beaten Caldy's ass at 105 when he was in his 20s then thats a different story.

But I give PR love, they are a great asset to boxing and it wouldn't be the same without them..

If Mexican boxing is medicore at best, then what does that make PR boxing, since it is pretty much known in the boxing world, that Mexico is the second greatest boxing force in the world behind the USA. :deal

You can't possible expect an island of 4 million to match fight per fight all the bouts that MEX/USA can have together. The fact that PR is in the discussion is absurdly fantastic for the island and any fighter that it produces. I'm cool with this discussion as long as people tell it how it is.
