So what do you think of Lopez win over Rafa, and Cotto's win over Margo?

Calderon was 38 years old and moved up weight, and got beat by Segura. doesn't change the fact he beat all other Mexicans that was put in front of him...

Yet when Segura faced a equal sized opponent in Viloria he ended up looking like the elephant man....

Next the boxer "Chocolatito" loses once against a Mexican , and watch all other fights were said to be bums, and his wins didn't count... Sorry, it's the same narrative and pattern all over the web..

You just can't go around having selected memory when it suits you, or because your nationalistic pride can't let you accept facts...

A C class boxer Kermit Cintron took Angulo's zero oh wait that didn't happen...

Caldy may not have beaten guys like Lopez/Carbajal/Gonzalez but you can bet your ass that his 5'0 stature at 105 would have compete neck and neck with them. Mind you these guys are 5'5, 5'5, 5'1. Naturally, they had an immense amount of punching power. Caldy's skills would have but them to the test. Thats incredible. Picture Finito Lopez fighting someone thats 5'10? Can you? Can you picture Finito Lopez beating their ass? A 5'10 fighter on his own level of skill? Nope.

Cotto's win over Margarito was just fine.

Lopez win over Rafa was bull****. I was pissed when that fight was made. I love Rafa, dude is a bad ass ****ing warrior - past prime, out of his weight class, it was bob arum handing Lopez a relatively challenging yet winnable.

And Caldy deserves props for that, no doubt...But it's nothing Miguel Canto hadn't already done in a bigger and much more deeper Flyweight division, also being 5'0''. :good

How about that BAD ASS fighter Wilfredo Benitez? omg, cmon guys. Forget the MEX talk, he schooled Roberto Duran, who was not as his best, but even that version of Duran would have ****ed a lot of people up. Tell me a MEX that would have competed with SRL, Hearns, Duran? Who? You got 1, Chavez/Duran. And I'd pick Duran over Chavez without thinking twice. Moral of the story - Puerto Ricans can throw down!

Salido beat Lopez twice, and so did Mayorga to Forrest, and Mosley to De La Hoya, and Forrest to Mosley. Something that happens in boxing in history...

And Juan Ma Lopez fell in love with his power, and gambled on a 3rd rate team, who thought him no defense... I said that Salido was going to beat him again no surprise. You can only make it so far with no defense and just power.

Saying that it doesn't change that the only Mexican or Mexican-American to beat Juan Ma was Salido.....

    Styles make fights...

Jhonny Gonzalez got beat by Penalosa, Ko'd by Nishioka, and where is he now the WBC 126 champion. He changed teams and regrouped that it's boxing. Unlike Juan Ma he doesn't have an inflated ego , or too much pride that won't let him change.

Pipino Cuevas went against Hearns and was demolished...

    Jose Basora 78 - 20 - 7 (44 KO’s) fought Sugar Ray Robinson to a draw in 1945.
    and went versus Jake LaMotta 4 times with a final record of 1 - 2 - 1.

    Pedro Montanez 91 - 9 - 4 (56 KO’s) an 88 winning streak,defeated Lou Ambers and Henry Armstrong.
One of the greatest boxers to never win a title.

Wilfredo Benitez 53 - 8 - 1 (31 Ko’s) An amazing 3 division world champion by the age of 22. Wins first title at the age of 17, the youngest champion currently in boxing history. Defining fight was Benitez at 17 defeating a solid veteran Antonio Cervantes on March 6, 1976.

I'm still waiting for Canelo to fight anyone in the top 10 that isn't shot or over 40 years old.
