Sorry, that myth and the same narrative of we got the best boxers etc. is played out. Mexico has had great champions , but not many accomplished anything of greatness. Outside a few like Ricardo Lopez and Kid Azteca...

Mexican and Mexican - Americans still had to rob Martinez to get middleweight champ in 2011. While Puerto Rico has had a champion in every division of boxing... Mind you boxing isn't even the only sport Puerto Rico excels at while Mexico just has a mediocre futbol team and Boxing both riddle with Steroids scandals lets keep it real...

I'll put Pedro Montanez 91 - 9 - 4 (56 KO’s) record in the 1930's and Elberto Louis Hardwick Arroyo (Herbert Lewis Hardwick) 176-56 (48) against your precious Chavez any time...

When was the last time you heard a Puerto Rican Boxer hiring an EX Steroids dealer turn FBI informant as a nutritionist?

When was the last time you heard of Puerto Rican involved in a steroids or Ped's sacndal?

Last Mex was Eloy Perez who was on cocaine when Broner made him break dance...

That myth of the Mexican warrior ask Ortiz, DelaHoya, Guerrero, Marquez, and Morales. Sorry but that b.s. is played out about the great chin ask Montiel, Perez, Solis, Rojas, etc how good is their chin ?

  9. Simple math:

I PR fighter has to fight about 20 Mexicans... When he finally loses to one, you get to pretend Mexicans are great.

Not really, they haven't learn they should stay from Mexicans in the boxing ring. They keep challenging Mexicans and losing their titles. Not the sign of intelligence if you ask me.:D

Ruderic, that was some very good posts and answers. It was getting ugly, but both Mexicans and PR's tried to keep it civil. I'm with you, but now the PR's are not doing so well and I think Isal is hyping the fact that Mexicans are doing a number on PR's right now. You can't dismiss the past though. All the name calling was uncalled for though. I mean, I keep hearing about all these trolls and so many that bring nothing to a boxing conversation and you guys debated very well. Whey I say you guys, that means Mex/PR. Oh, I really don't get the "I, ****** bit". Believe it or not, I never grew up with no Mexicans over when I grew up in Chelsea, MA. Yes, were the first Latino HW grew up.
