Serious inquiry. Are you trolling ? Richie Giachetti stated Tyson had lost quite a bit, no longer throwing combos, loading up with single punches, and with a lack of head movement. btw. I think Seamus has boxed.
If that is aimed at me ,you could be right but I don't think so. I firmly believe that Tyson was only ever a willing student of Cus D'Amato, and upon the old mans death he became an unwilling student, of anyone and everyone else. His reputation as a natural fighter is somewhat mythical as far as I am concerned. Natural fighters are guys like Duran, Robinson, Hagler if you like. As early as the Douglas fight you could see Tyson reacts to the situation in a " fvck this, I can't be bothered " attitude, and just takes the consequences. As far as the prison sentence is concerned, I stick by my assumption that it was just another marketing angle, with a guy that really didn't care as long as the money came in. I distinctly remember seeing his release from the prison with him wearing some kind of Muslim head wear ( I believe he said he had found Islam ) amid claims he was as low as 180lbs in weight. All that did was allow the cynics to make even more money. Laaaayyydeeeeeeeeez, and ggggeeeeennntlmen, not only is the " baddest man on the planet back, but he's back from prison. $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$ The days of him executing everything D'Amato taught him were long gone, never to be recovered, long before any prison sentence.
Tyson last fought in 91, returned in 95, that is 4 years shithead i nevere said he was dedicated anywhere, read my post again

Read your own garbage moron. You wrote 4 - 5 years in prison. Not 4 - 5 years out of the ring. 3, isn't 4 - 5.:roll::roll:
"Richie Giachetti stated" jeez another person without there own opinion or eyes. Tyson threw more combos in the Holy fight than the Tiliis or Biggs fights
Here is an extract from this weeks Sunday Times written by the UK's premier boxing writer.Hugh McILvanney, he is referring to Tysons' one man stage show due to start in the Uk in the New Year. "Part of the trouble could be that there was such a swathe of his ring career when he was bereft of the fearsome youthful destructiveness that carried him to the undisputed championship of the world, and so had to rely for effect mainly on his ogreish aura. Though his last appearance inside the ropes was as recent as 2005-when,on the brink of his 39th birthday he was stopped in six rounds by the lamentably inadequate Kevin McBride _as early as his second meeting with Donovan Ruddock in 1991 [17months after Tyson was knocked out byJames Douglas] the genuine Iron Mike was a fading memory. The overwhelming authority never reappeared after hecame out of jail, but wearyingly for some of us the myth was lucratively preserved." Seems you bought into that myth HOOK LINE AND SINKER .atsch ps I watched Tyson come up from his first bouts to his last. 'Ive also viewed a few of his amateur fights. I can be educated, but not by you sunshine.
I still firmly believe that after Tucker ( where the limitations were glimpsed ), he had an easy run up to the Douglas fight. After which he was fed another couple of no hopers as confidence builders, then Hugh's observations come into being.
Hugh may be well known but is far from the best writer, he is quite out of touch, for example Glyn Leach is one of many who are better. You may choose to believe what you are told, I however do not.
