Khan's fans claim that Khan can only be beaten by KO, and that he's never been outboxed. Khan isn't some master boxer, and his problems don't end with his glass jaw. His other, more serious problem is that he has a low ring IQ. Where do people get the idea that he's some master boxer? Garcia was timing and countering him from the 2nd round onward. Master boxers don't struggle with old Julio Diaz. People go on about how Khan's style will trouble Floyd, but all I hear about is his speed. People on here need to learn the difference between a style and an attribute. Speed is an attribute. If you say, "Khan has the TOOLS to trouble Floyd", then I'd be fine with that, but don't say "style" when you really mean "attribute".
Part of the reason that Khan is a good match up for Floyd is precisely because he does not try to box. Fighters thinking they can outbox Floyd is what gets them in trouble. Khan has interesting things to offer against Floyd imo, speed, volume, and good reach along with presence of mind to actually use really compounds some favorable factors for him. Chin not a problem against Floyd, and best of all, he does not stop throwing when be outclassed/outboxed, this is when he relies on his speed and volume even more to make a statement, and that's a good thing against Floyd.
^^ That was the old 140lb Roach trained Khan. The new WW Khan doesn't have the same speed, is too heavy, much duller on his feet, and he thinks way too much. Thinking too much isn't good when you're a dumbo. His new jab n'grab style will get him slaughtered vs any good fighter.
I agree this khan is not beating any champs or top welters, i think alexander stops him late in a stinker full of holding and clinching. Remember u dont need to be a puncher to hurt khan average power is enough to have him on ***** street and alexander has atleast average power.
firstly, how many times has Alexander been stopped. secondly, how many world class fighters has Khan stopped. Thirdly, when did Khan ever stop anyone late?
