Found this on boxingtalk and thought it was very interesting and tell how lies if told often enough are soon believed to be truths.

Let’s look at all of Floyd’s opponents since 2007: Oscar De La Hoya (Golden Boy), Ricky Hatton (Golden Boy), Juan Manuel Marquez (Golden Boy at the time), Shane Mosley (Golden Boy at the time), Victor Ortiz (Golden Boy) and Miguel Cotto (Golden Boy promoted the fight)

Now let’s look at Pacquiao's foes since 2007: Marco Antonio Barerra (Golden Boy), Juan Manuel Marquez (Golden Boy at the time), David Diaz (Top Rank), Oscar De La Hoya (Golden Boy), Ricky Hatton (Golden Boy), Miguel Cotto (Top Rank at the time), Joshua Clottey (Top Rank), Antonio Margarito (Top Rank), Shane Mosley (Top Rank promoted the fight), Juan Manuel Marquez (Top Rank) and Tim Bradley (Top Rank).

So really its Mayweather who only fights in house competition. Pacquiao 4 fighters that were Golden Boy

Since Manny became a big attraction (after the DeLaHoya and Hatton fight), every single one of his fights has been in house with Top Rank... arbitrarily choosing 2007 as a starting point to examine the trend makes little sense, as Pacquiao was not a cash cow at the time.

Worth noting is how Marquez vs Pacquiao 3, which Marquez wanted for years, couldn't be made until Juan parted with Golden Boy and was subsequently signed by Top Rank, and Mosley vs Pacquiao couldn't be made until Mosley parted with Golden Boy and was signed by Top Rank.

Mayweather has said for years (even before Pacquiao relevance) that him and Bob Arum can't do business. There really was no other fighter relevant enough for Floyd to fight that was not represented by either Golden Boy or Arum/Top Rank, so the argument that he only fights Golden Boy fighters is weak. Moreover, he is not represented by Golden Boy, so there is no concept of Golden Boy making fights designed for them to keep the profits in-house, as there is sufficient reason to believe Arum is doing with Pacquiao.

Finally, Miguel Cotto was not signed with Golden Boy, so there goes that argument. All of Floyd's promotions are joint ventures with Golden Boy, so putting "(Golden Boy promoted the fight)" after Cotto's name is intentionally misleading. On the other hand, Marquez and Mosley actually had to sign with Top Rank for those fights to be made.

Exactly just like Judah and Baldo weren't with Golden boy or Top rank before Mayweather beat Hoya to become a PPV monster.

More double standards are how its understandable that Pac isn't going to fight Khan, Ortiz, Berto and probably Mayweather because they are under GBP. But Mayweather doesn't get the same understanding when Cotto and Margo were with TR and he was beefing with Arum.

    :lol::lol: :patsch

2007 is the perfect starting point because thats when Floyd started working for Oscar and he has worked for NOBODY else since then

ALL IN HOUSE SINCE HE JOINED !!!

Pac has proven that while with Arum they have no issue fighting golden boy boxers and Pac was very big at this time

The difference being Mayweather's "in house fights" have been a lot more substance than Pac's debacles or catchweight bouts. The last time Pac has fought a legit top guy was against a GBP fighter (hatton)

    Now what?

Pac also fought the GBP boxers as the underdog - BIG UNDERDOG

against especially Barerra and Oscar himself

    and he destroyed them

    suck it up

I honestly know know how he wasnt brought to the ring in a wheelchair

AS for the evil Pac man

Well... that cheat had the advantage of starting 10 weight classes below and had the shortness height advantage as well

how can he live with he self !!

The thing is generally speaking Golden Boy has the bigger names and Floyd had at them first when they were closer to the their prime. More importantly Pac will not face a non Top Rank fighter because Pac is protected.

Manny has fought all Top Rank fighters except 1 (Hatton) since he fought ODLH. And Roach was extremely confident in a KO in that fight.

Floyd has fought all Golden Boy fighters since he fought ODLH.

I believe Manny will fight a fighter from any stable, but Arum gets money from both ends if it's an in house fight.

I believe Floyd will fight a fighter from any stable, but Arum won't give him any Top Rank fighters.

Mayweather isnt a Goldenboy fighter. They do joint ventures, the guy has his own promotions. They just have a really good relationship. That is the difference. Cotto seems to be trying to do the same thing now, which is smart.
