I think Nathan Briggs performance on Friday night had the look about it of a fighter who has perhaps unlocking his true abilities. Paul appears to have lit a fire under his brother and I think it showed against Col Wilson. He's got great footwork and work rate for a big guy and I think his performance could be a sign of things to come. I do think his effort is a tad under rated by some on here. I know he's got a few decent things in the pipe. I for one am looking forward to watching it unfold.
It was great to see him get the Col Wilson ****** off his back. Very fit and quite good handspeed for a heavy. Still looked very vunerable when he gets hit clean, thats why I enjoyed the fight. He is a fighter who likes to dominate but always seems to one punch away from self destruction, thats the heavies for ya sometimes. I said in another post Id love to see him in against Sol or the winner of Mirovic-Hoppa in the near future. I think if he could stay away from Sol''s bombs he could really give him a run fo his money over the longer distance.
i commented on another forum that paul briggs has the makings to be capable of being one of the best cornerman in australia, very good advice, very calm, not too many instructions just re-iterating the game plan, very impressed... nathan has got good foot movement, done enough to win, if he could let his right hand go more he could of stopped col, but there is a problem in nasty boy hasnt got the greatest chin but his movement was great.... col is one tough ******* i will hand him that, the guy for the limited training he does will not back down, and hes definitaly one guy you wouldnt want to fight in a pub....
in saying that he wont beat sol, sol is seriously underated by some, hes a massive massive puncher, stories out of spars with him are that people come out black and blue everywhere, and that his power is soemthing else compared to heavy's from australia.... cliff couser was lucky that sol has been very sick and bed ridden a couple times in the last few months, all the same hell be alot better for the experience.....
Talk about pot and kettle... Adam's got a fair way to go before he proves himself as a top cruiser or heavy in the country.
why do u talk so much ****, your posts will make peolpe hate not respect the gym u dumb **** perthkronk.
Nasty Boy v Wilson was a fight I enjoyed as much as any other. Up until the final seconds there was always a chance CW was going to catch NB but in the end you had one guy who has improved with time and another who has old age biting him on the arse.
Kronk.. Mate Forsyth wouldnt last 3 rounds with briggs. He is smaller from briggs and lacks the experience. He has a world of potential, but theres no need to rush
It was avery good fight for Nathan Briggs, It is something to Build on now and He has some good skill.
Just to put in perspective, Col didn't train 1 minute for the fight & was on the **** the night before. Its time for him to give it away. Definately was the best I've seen Nathan fight but like someone else said he looked very vulnerable right to the end. There's no way I would put Nathan in with Haumano unless you want him to get koed. He should rematch leapea to see how advanced he has become with Paul's training. I second that Paul Briggs did an excellent job in his corner, comes from fighting in the US & the experience it offers.
