Re-watched it last night for the first time in ages (actually watched it live back in the day) and forgot what a cracking fight that was!

    Thoughts on it?

Very exciting fight. When Naz goes down in the first round, after his long entrance and cocky demeanor, madison square garden erupts!

1 of my favourite fights and very underrated IMO.

Cracks me up everytime when Foreman (I think it was him anyway) shouts 'the prince is for real, THE PRINCE IS FOR REAL!!!' when Naz finally knocks him out. Great fight and one I'll have to rewatch again later!

Say what you want about Naz as a person or a fighter, he was the most entertaining boxer out there at the time.

I don't know how you can take such a negative from the fight. It showed that he had a chin and could knock serious world level operators out fairly easily.

People talk about a loss like it's a dirty word in boxing. All the genuine legends have been beaten at some point in their career.

The fight reaffirmed Naz's awesome power but more importantly showed that his skills were slipping.

Prince Naseem if he wanted to could fight, very straight forward and conventional. Just watch his fight vs Steve Robinson, but as the years went on he got totally out of hand with this wild and ******ed style of his. In the last round against Kevin Kelly he starts to adjust and fight more conventional......................with his natural speed and power this made him a even better fighter......

After getting knocked down in the first round, he made Kevin Kelly run for the remainder of that round...............just goes to show how good he was.

Bottom line is Prince Naseem Hamed in my opinion would of sparked Antonio Barrera out in the rematch if he was motivated.

He got carried away with his own wild style, and got used to very very bad habbits.
