Even though the two fights that took place on the HBO card has more relevance to the future of boxing than the 3 fights that took place on the NBC card, I left off feeling more satisfied by the NBC card in which all three fights were entertaining while the Kirkland/Molina controversy with the bull**** DQ dampened it as well as all that excessive holding by Molina just killed any good momentum and the main event just showed how bad this young generation can be if they are struggling to beat very shopworn formerly great fighters.

NBC Sports knows what their doing in terms of bringing good entertaining fights, hopefully they'll continue what their doing. I love HBO Boxing but last night was just meh for me.

The HBO card was a joke and was everything that is wrong with HBO right now. The first fight was a boring as **** fight between two guys' whose styles didn't match at all. The second a faded old fighter whose balanc and punch resistence were so gone that it looked like he was on the verge of getting knocked out badly everytime his opponent landed. What made it worse was that the old guy's opponent (the alledged next great mexican american fighter) was so poor that he got his ears boxed off by the way pasted old champ. To top all that off both fights end with obvious profiteering and corruption with the referee calling off the first fight on a bull**** rule and the judges blatantly screwing Morales.

NBC put on very good well matched fights but the venue looked like a small community hall.

LMFAO at Danny Garcia being Mexican.. he ain't Mexican.

The HBO card was on a paper a tough test for Kirkland and a passing of the guard for Garcia.

We ended up with that, just not in the fashion HBO or the public really wanted.

Molina fought spoiler the whole fight, and the DQ was unsatisfying.

Garcia gave Morales too much respect, and a half dead Morales was able to out box the younger faster slicker fighter for way too many rounds to feel like it was a true passing of the torch from old to young.

It was a fiasco from the onset with Jose Cotto pulling out because his opponent Castillo weighed in about 10 lbs over the limit.
