Negotiations failed because the parties could not agree a cut-off date for random blood testing before the fight. PacquiaoÂ’s side dropped their demand from 30 days to 24, but the American insisted on 14.

Noone in their right mind uses the EPO that is found in blood anymore (well, except boxers mayhap since there's no real testing). That form is detectable for maybe more than a week. Everyone knows that now.

random bloodtest=nothing. this is pure harrasment. EPO is to urine, HGH is to blood, supposedly. as of this time, not one has tested positive.

EPO to urine means nothing when the NSAC doesn't test for it.

Not 100% on this though. I've read it in two spots. Looking for a viable source though. =/

That was a year ago though. That's why I'm trying to find something closer.

I agree some of the fights that have been questioned occurred during that time or prior.

Olympic testing has never detected HGH anyways...

because athletes take hgh out of competition and cycle it in a way so that by the time they are approaching the olympics, they don't have any traces of hgh in their blood.

If there was one global boxing commission, it could possibly make a provision that all champions must submit to 100% random out of competition blood and urine testing. Then once the fight gets close they could stick to random urine testing only. Since people have to **** anyways, theres nothing to complain about. Unlike blood tests which have the potential to disturb your training. Thats the kind of ruling that would really clean up the sport.

As it is now, anyone can take HGH in between fights, fully benefit from it, and then cut it out when they sign the contract.

I read in an interview that said he was willing to take random tests but no later than 30 days. Cant be bothered to dig that up. That wasnt the issue anyways, it was the timing and they couldnt agree between 10 days.

Which Pac could easily do yet somehow people think that a drug test is the be all end all result for determining whether Pac is on drugs or not. It wont prove his innocent nor guilty, IMO its useless. The only useful form of drug testing is year round random testing.

Anyways Pac right now is at 146 5 weeks before the clottey fight for a fight at 147...does that sound like a man on human growth hormone? :patsch

No it doesn't. And does it sound like a guy who should have needed a catchweight to fight Miguel Cotto?
