    Don't you find it hard to blame Martinez for not fighting Zbik? HBO wouldn't show it, and Martinez would have been at a loss trying to stick that fight on a decent card.

    He's getting the Middleweight Diamond Belt if he beats Dzin, so this Emeritus-without-an-actual-belt thing is only temporary. :D

    What's really annoying is that I think this might be the final nail in the coffin of a potential Cotto fight. As long as Sergio's beltless, Arum has a ready-made excuse to avoid taking that fight. Then again, despite whatever promises he may have made, we all know he's going to try to make Pacquiao-Cotto 2 instead of Martinez-Cotto, no matter how many belts Sergio may have.

    Okay so Martinez is 'champion emeritus' now and the 'diamond belt' is on the line for the Dzinziruk fight. So Zbik is the 'official world champion' and it's a safe path for Chavez Jr., but Maravilla will have to pay a sanctioning fee regardless! :lol: Genious!

    Maravilla should text message Sulaiman to shove the 'diamonds' up his ass where they came from.

    yea and what they did to Pascal witht he immediate Hopkins rematch is a bunch of bull. Everyone and their moma knows that Pascal has a rematch clause with Dawson to enforce. Why not just make Hopkins the mandatory and have him fight Pascal after that?

    **** the WBC. Pascal should toss their belt in the trash can.

    I can't argue with the WBC's decision on the immediate Pascal-Hopkins rematch, it was a controversial fight and the organizations shouldn't really care about rematch clauses. Those are BUSINESS deals and the organizations should never let business inferfere. It's a good SPORT decison as Hopkins deserves his rematch and nobody cares about the Pascal-Dawson II anyway.

    **** that, belts or not Martinez is still the lineal champ. This situation is kind of like when Manny Pacquiao was in the featherweight division. He didn't have any ABC belts but was the lineal champ of the division when he beat Barrera for the first time.
