Seems to me this subject refuses to go away but lets be honest...who here actually believes Rahman would have beaten Vitali? I mean c'mon seriously.... Regardless of whether you think Vitali was scared or not that's irrelevant to this question, there is and was no way Rahman ever takes Vitali plain and simple! So who here actually thinks Rahman would have beaten Vitali - a man who took lewis bombs and walked forwards. You know just so we have a rough head count? I'm really curious to see the numbers. would have, could have, should have. when it came down to bidness, brittley ran like steve prefontaine and had to be forced by the wbc to fight rahman instead of his preferred choice of brock. shitali then cancelled 4 straight times, retired, and came back once rahman lost. but it's okay, because vitali "would have" won.
I feel Vitali was ill prepared, people most remember Rahman was still a decent fighter in 05, with good power. From what I read on ESB awhile back, that he was getting knocked down alot in sparring, by two seperate partners. I dont think he was a full 100% injury proof, and also didnt want to come in and get knocked out like Lewis' did a few years before hand.
Vitali would have knocked the glass-jawed Rahman out cold, just like Maskaev did. People who think that Vitali was afraid of this china-chinned joke are delusional.
