What the hell is your problem? It's not simply about having a TV it's that you have to have some sort of subscription with it as well eg. BT/Sky/Virgin....and many people don't. Many people don't even have a landline phone anymore because of how popular mobiles are. It's the same with TV's, you don't need one to stream Netflix or Amazon Prime and they are taking over. I watch all my football via Sky on NOW TV. I'm simply telling BT to get with the times because you can't stream their fights without a subscription LIKE YOU CAN ON SKY
They're following a well thought out strategy. Think of it this way. You and most of the people on this forum are not their target audience. You know about the fight already and as a big boxing fan you will make your decision whether or not to purchase independent of anything their marketing team do. What will make this fight a success is the number of casual fans they convert from uninformed and apathetic to aware and interested. By regular quirky and engaging content which some will share they're hoping to reach more of those consumers. Believe me, if you look at how hamfisted and stuck in the past most boxing marketing operations are, BT sport are HOF material.
You are the only person in the UK who is not homeless who does not have access to a TV....i bet you stand outside McDonalds using their WiFi
It will never happen anytime soon. Google snoopers charter. The BBC would never go down this route as it is an abuse of powers (at present). What is more likely is a password sent with your TV licence.
Nowhere near Bellew-Haye. Usyk is an unknown and Bellew isn't a proven PPV seller, the Haye fights were sold off the Haye name. I reckon this does 350k - 400k.
I don’t know if anyone on here has seen the interview with Tony Bellew where he mentioned he got offered (or provisionally discussed) the Dillian Whyte fight. Bellew says he would have earned about double for that fight. If that’s really the case PPV figures for the Usyk fight will be significant down on the Haye fights.
Why wouldn't it be? Bellew is a PPV star fighting for all the belts v one of the best fighters p4p in the world. Both fighters need to get paid handsomely.
Have to see how they do with stepping up the promotion during fight week, but the undercard looks awful and still full of many TBAs. 200-300k is my guess.
Fury Wilder should do enough to be considered a success but Warrington Frampton could really bomb outside of the hardcore and their local fans who aren’t forking out to travel to the fight
