In what any other company does the Head of a department, have commentary duties.Sky's Head of Boxing,is the main commentator.I have never seen that,is it because he tries to look he isn't stealing a living,as he is not the one who makes the key descions regarding Boxing. All he does is turn up at press conferences and ruin fights with his mouth.
Andy Clarke is far better and should be the lead commentator permanently. Really unacceptable amount of cross promotion of Sky content last night- other sports fair enough but telling us that the new Trainspotting film was on Sky Cinema was frankly random at best.
His commentary last night was absolutely terrible. I made a post on this before, I thought him being back in the casting seat was a temporary move while they got someone to replace Halling but apparently he's here to stay. Froch is only decent when he's with Malignaggi and Smith just repeats himself too much and adds nothing of value. He just sounds like an announcer who's doing the commentary, something needs to change.
Watt? Really? To be honest I sort of miss Jim Watt, although I did look and sound mentally ill arguing and shouting at the TV while he was on, especially when "Jim Watts Scorecard" popped up on the screen.
I strongly doubt he made the decision, more likely the Head of Sky Sports who is Barney Francis and also tight with Barry Hearn, who provide darts and snooker on his channels.Like i said,i have never seen anyone who is head of a department doing commentary duties,it's like seeing Frank Warren doing commentary. That's not his lane.
By a million miles. I don't even like listening to him doing football commentary because it reminds me of him doing boxing in the glory days.
$2 Crolla v Skippy Burns - ticket sales were so bad that JD were giving away 2 free tickets when spending £75 from Thurs to Sat The numbers don't lie
Adam Smith - that was a great sounding fart Carl wasn't it? Carl Froch - yes Adam but I cannot smell it through my new cosmetic nose. Adam Smith - it was a rotten egg smell Carl wasn't it. Carl Froch - I never heard it Adam Adam Smith - you agree that it was both rotten and smelly Carl Carl Froch - definitely Adam
