I save money on PPV fee's by making my own fights using a selection of action man dolls as well as a 'Barbie' if I wish to feature Amir Khan on the card. I have a selection of songs on my phone for the ring walks then provide my own hideously biased commentary, unfair refereeing and rigged judges scorecards. A myopic teddy bear and a terminally stupid and stuck in the past stuffed rhinocerous provide turgid inter round colour commentary stating and restating the bleeding obvious and studiously ignoring any fact or action which doesn't support the in house fighters. At present I have over 467 different sanctioning bodies represented with just under a 1000 different versions of the world title which makes every bout and fighter special every time. Sadly some of the Action Men dolls have been approached by a rival promoter, a fella down the road who has a purpose built arena with over 80k toy soldiers watching the action. I don't know how I can match his offer and frankly it's giving me sleepless nights and making me seriously reconsider the entire process.
I'm a BT internet/phone/TV customer and can't even get BT sport on TV due to being in a somewhat rural location. Streaming it is underwhelming and unsatisfactory given the amount they are demanding. Won't be paying for PPV at £18 to effectively just stream it anyway.
Fury/Wilder is apparently not happening on November 17th so that’ll be one less to worry about before Christmas.
Chisora vs whyte - questionable but should be wildly entertaining and get your money's worth AJ vs Povetkin - top level heavyweight title fight Bellew vs Usyk - undisputed cruiserweight title That's the only 3 ppv worthy fights Groves - smith is just a domestic fight Frampton - Warrington same Wilder Fury is a fabricated mismatch
20 quid isn't that much. Put it this way I'm a big movie fan, some months there might be 6 new releases i want to see all of them but I have to pick 2-3 or I'll be down 100s at the odeon Boxing fans are entitled
I'm utterly shocked you've chosen the Matchroom fights as being the ones you think are value for money.
I’ll pay for the ones i will actually watch live and are on in the UK at decent times. Chances are I’ll do any American ones in the morning on a stream over breakfast.
Yeah it feels like it's creeping into fights it wouldn't have been on before. Of the coming fights, AJ Povetkin, Warrington Frampton & maybe Bellew Usyk could be justifiably PPV. Groves Smith in WBSS has just gone on too long and the move to Saudi has taken some of the shine off too.
