A remake of the old clinic thread. Speaking simply in terms of boxing clinics, which do you vote as the best in the last several years. Barrera vs Naz was my favorite, but I will cast a vote for PBF vs Corrales as the best boxing clinic in recent years.
Mayweather vs Gatti is meaningless to me bc of the level of competition. His clinic of Corrales is on a different level as far as Im concerned.
I dont really understand all the Mayweather vs Gatti sentiment. Look at the level of competition of the clinics in the poll. All of the losers were better fighters than Gatti at that point in his career by a landslide. What makes for an amazing clinic is the danger the opposing fighter brings. Gatti was a B level fighter at best, past his prime at that, and came to fight with a stupid game plan of outboxing PBF. With that being said, why do you guys insist on that being better than Winky over Tito for example, or Calzaghe vs Lacy?
MAB-Naz - I still think about that match, even if I have seen it more than once, else JC-Lacy, but Lacy wasn't dangerous at all though.
MAB vs Naz is my favorite fight ever, but Im a Barrera fan. Im not sure if I discount the danger level of Lacy. He was made to look stupid by Calzaghe and then was injured. At the time of the fight, many people (both boxing experts and posters including me) though that he was going to KTFO Calzaghe. It still stands as a great clinic to me.
JC v Lacy for me, it was a pure boxing lesson by JC in every aspect of the game, and the betting underdog to boot! Barrera schooling Naz though gave me the most pleasure!
Lacy sucks! Holy ****, Calzaghes performance over him is soo overrated. The answer is Nard vs Tito. Then Floyd vs Corrales. Then Jones vs. Ruiz.
