Golovkin boxing for the interim WBA title next weekend and if he wins he has to face N'Jikam within 90 days or something for the full title thats my understanding anyway. Though despite all this, sturm is their real champ anyway. Oh the wonderful WBA:lol:..i can just imagine it, the top brass at WBA must of had to stay behind late one night to have a brainstorming session, someone lights up a joint and well the rest is history.:D

The Barker fight was a goer but for one reason or other (can't remember why) it didn't happen.

I know him (my trainer is his Brit trainer) so I can't bang on about him too much or no-one will take me serious (not that they do now lol).

He looks to me like he has all the tools. He is perhaps slightly short when compared to Barker etc but he has some excellent hand speed and some truly killer body shots.

This compilation for me is not the best and often shows Proksa at his worst in terms of openness, balence etc but just to give you a taster. I'll see if I can find his last fight against Spitko coz it was a demolition job!!!

doesnt go past 5 for me. lemiuex is still really young though to take on the top guys at middleweight.
pirog looked a really decent fighter, good upper body movement timing shot selection and as we saw a good dig. hopefully this division comes alive in the next year or 2

    pirog is going places!

i reckon he'll be champ for a good while.

very entertaining to watch, he reminds me off a song that everyone knows the words to, not all may like that song but at least they can still sing along.

Like most punchers, Lemiuex's chances boil down to how rounded he is and whether his chin stands up.

Hopefully the division does hot up, because it's been seriously lame for ages now.

It's not so much the titles, but the best guys haven't been fighting each other - mainly IMO because Pavlik didn't fancy Williams and the Germans prefer hiding.

Lemieux could be lost at sea if he bumps into a guy who can dish it out as well as he does and take it and come back with some more...
Hes match makers are doing a great job with him. I wouldnt rush him into a world title fight just because of his high ranking with the WBC, needs more seasoning. So very young.
One or two top ranking ie top 20 fighters and he will be there.

I agree. I would be nice to see some of these prospects fight each other before they go for the titles.

Hopefully one of these new guys can get a shot at Sturm or Sylvester, sick of those two.

Just had a look at Sturms next fight, its against Giovanni Lorenzo...who despite losing handily to Raul Marquez a while back in a title eliminator still got a shot against Sylvester, and lost. :-(
