is kelly now the new lacy i.e overrated, exsposed, hype job from what i am now reading on the boards the disrespect and sudden dumbing down of kelly as a hype job following a great winning streak taylor/miranda etc is shocking to say the least and the parallels with him and lacy are now uncanny, what does it say about some fans
im a huge kelly fan to start off and he lost to a 43 yr old..but not just any 43 yr old he lost to a living legend in BHOP i was totally shocked but BHOP looked better than ever..he didnt look that good in his prime but kelly will rebound i am happy he took the tough fight even though he didnt have to thats a true fighter and i think it will effect him some but he will still be a top fighter at 160..160 is not that deep so he can do it and not making excuses but the weight had to effect him but he signed for the weight so what can i say..he will come back and be a good fighter..all the greats have more than 1 loss you get a loss by taking a tough fight
wish people cut Hatton that kinda slack when he looks awful at 147 when is clearly so much better at 140
Pavlik dominating at middleweight aint really impressive though, he has one challenge there and thats it, Abraham could very well beat him.
The discrepancy between performances in each weight class is what did Hatton in. I mean you'd think those 7 pounds were 20 the way he looked. Pavlik at least beat Taylor over his natural weight whereas Hatton escaped against Collazo.
Pavlik seems to represent much more than himself when he fights. He definitely has a huge heart and has pride to represent his supporters and fans. Lacy had his heart taken away and is a mere shadow of himself now. Taylor will probably take that last bit away from Lacy unfortunately.
To be fair, its helps Pavlik being slim built, Hatton bloats up and that extra 7lbs and weight division just nulifies a lot of his attributes. Thats why i dont think he gets a lot of credit for the PBF fight, i thought he was level after 6 rds despite Cortez being a joke.
