It resembles more the magazine I remember first buying that was full of historical articles. They are certainly cramming more in there now and it looks more 'grown up'. Not sure about the type fonts though as the text is a bit small.
I used to buy it in the 80's....been a long time since I bought anything other than BN. Next time I'm in a newsagents I'll check it out.
I'll check it out if it's more like the old days. Although I prefer buying old copies myself nowadays, to get a contemporary view of the fighters.
I've only just bought it today and had a wee peek at some of the articles. Seems to be all new writers and editors. I was really getting pissed off with the Ring in the last year or two, same old stuff every week. Would have stopped buying it all together if I hadn't years worth of collections.
Seems to have a bit more in terms of historical articles to me. I do have a criticism tho, seems like a basic mistake to make: they did a feature on the top ten fighters from mexico but counted from 1 to 10 as opposed to 10 to 1. Maybe it's just me but when reading I like the suspense finding out who's got top spot. Rather than knowing as soon as I begin the article.
Who was the top ten? If Ricardo Lopez is highly ranked I'll never buy another issue. Was Herrera in there?
